As Fang JunRong worked overtime regularly and had a full schedule, Zhang ZhiSu was hosting banquets every few days. Even the atmosphere between the two antagonized each other's but they never openly antagonized each other.

After eating their melons for a period of them, people moved on.

As Fang JunRong sat around calmly minding her own business, Zhang ZhiYang, on the other hand, could not hold out for any longer.

Li XinYun quickly shared something with Fang JunRong with a blank look on her.

"Mom, didn't I say I wanted to acquire Shingxing a while back?"

Fang JunRong recalled that but she never interfered with it. As for money, she wasn't worried. Having Li WangJin's inheritance, Li XinYun had at least hundreds of millions at her disposal. She was already pretty much on her own.

She had looked into Shengxing briefly. An acquisition for tens of millions shouldn't be a problem at all.

"I've already had a verbal agreement with their boss. I was to pay 24 million yuan to acquire the company but that Boss Lu backed out of the deal when it came the time to sign the contract."

Truth be told, Li XinYun was quite angry about that. After she had reached the verbal agreement with Boss Lu, she had spent a few days on marketing planning but all of her effort nearly went to waste.

"And then what happened?"

Li XinYun went on, "I was about to give up but two days Boss Lu came looking for me along with Zhang ZhiYang and said we can move forward again."

"According to Boss Lu, he was going to sell it to me but someone else pulled some stunts behind the scene to stop us from moving forward with it. Now that Zhang ZhiYang took on the role as the middle man, we can move forward with it once again. He said he will even knock a million yuan off the cost as a gesture of apology."

Li XinYun had heard of some bits and pieces about Zhang ZhiYang from her mother and had added him to her bad person list a long time ago. She knew that Zhang ZhiYang's eyes were on her mother; as such, she decided to let her mother know right away.

Fang JunRong said quietly, "He probably just wanted to give you a favor."

"It's fine. Have a few lawyers look through the contract. If all is well, you can just sign it."

"You don't think this will be a trap of sort?" If it wasn't the amount of time involved in starting her own company from the ground up, Li XinYun wouldn't even consider an acquisition.

"You can always swap out all of the employees or just sideline his men." She thought about it in her head. The company would be next to a subway station in a couple of years' time and the property value would go up. It wasn't a bad deal at all.

"I'll go with you when you sign the contract officially in a couple of days." Fang JunRong made the final decision.

"Alright."

Li XinYun let out a sigh of relief. She would feel much better having her mother with her.

Fang JunRong looked through the contract and they have no issues with it. Even the lawyers had only pointed out a few irrelevant, minor points. Once those had been ironed out, they scheduled to sign the contract on January 10.

On their way over, Li XinYun told her mother her plans.

"Zhou Yi and I have talked about it. The easiest way to draw attention is a competition. We will organize a competition that is open to the public that will determine who our spokesperson will be. The winner of the competition will be offered a contract for 2 million yuan a year."
