"Don't be scared of me," the voice says as a man steps out from the shadow of the trees. "I'm only here as a guide."
"Oh," I exclaim with a sigh of relief. "Another guide. Like Namjoon."
"Kind of like Namjoon," the man says with a slight upturning of his plump lips. "We are similar, but in a sense, we are nothing alike."
"Who are you then?" I ask.
"I am the Guide of Direction," he says, bowing his head. "You can call me Jin, though."
"Okay, Jin," I say, nodding my head. "You're supposed to guide me in the right direction. Which way do I go then?"
"That depends on what you want," he repeats his earlier statement.
"I can't be properly guided if you keep being cryptic about it," I say, rolling my eyes and Jin laughs.
"Why don't you take a closer look at each of the paths? Maybe once you see what's within each one, a decision will be easier to make."
I slowly nod, not really sure why staring at different bunches of trees will help me decide which path should be deemed the one I travel along.
"Trust me," Jin says, gesturing for me to walk toward the first of the three paths.
