There was something enticing about Choi Han that made Cale stare at him from time to time. And more often than not, the raven would return the stare for several seconds before both looked away with red ears.

Sometimes, it would even end with such awkwardness that Alver couldn't help but groan and shoo the two away.

That was until Choi Han decides that it would be nice to confront the redhead with the most intriguing ways.

Cale doesn't know how it went to a situation like this. One time, Choi Han was just training and the next second, he would show up with handcrafted objects with a red hue similar to his hair color dusting the raven's cheek.

"What...?"

The redhead wasn't sure if he should open it or not, seeing as he is buffering for a whole minute.

"It's...It's a music box...Cale-nim. Though I'm not the one who created the instrument inside..."

Cale was never the one to receive such gifts that are made with meticulous hands seeing how aesthetic the carved designs are. Looking at Choi Han then to the box in his palm once again, a small smile crept on the redhead's face before opening the gift.

"You...also made...this...?"

The redhead looked closely at the two miniature cats and a dragon that seems like they were playing around. Cale couldn't hide is awe at how beautiful the craft is before he heard a stutter from Choi Han as the raven coughed and nodded.

"...Thank you Choi Han."

Seeing that his liege seem to like his gift, Choi Han perked up like a puppy as an imaginary tail wagged behind him.

"Of course, Cale-nim."

The next day when Choi Han approached Cale, the redhead was sleeping peacefully under the shade of a maple tree. Choi Han couldn't help but feel enamored at the beauty of his liege. And so, he left for a while to create a handcraft gift again.

This time, it was a hair accessory made in metal flowers.

Choi Han went closer to the sleeping figure of the redhead, the accessory in his hand as he placed the object in Cale's hair where a ribbon was tied. The raven frowned at first seeing that it doesn't show the accessory, so he removed the comb and placed it on Cale's scalp right above where his right ear is. Choi Han nodded to himself in satisfaction seeing how it made his liege more ethereal before standing up to leave and continue his training.

Cale opened his eyes as he looked at the giddy swordsman who was walking away before touching the comb in his hair, chuckling to himself before also going back to his room.

The third time Cale and Choi Han met, it was the redhead's turn to give a gift to the swordsman.

It was the first time in a while that Cale had felt restless as he looked at the box in his hands, fiddling with it as he continued to talk to Choi Han who was busy looking at the wolf children who were training.
