Chapter 36: Back At Parker's Run & Helping Jane

Y/N POV

After checking the museum we got some water and head back to Parker's run.

Y/N: Here Mie can you take the other one? Me and Clem are gonna talk to Rebecca.

Mike: Sure kid.

I hand Mike the water and me and Clem walk to Rebecca.

Rebecca: I'm not supposed to be in labor yet, Kenny. What if something's wrong?

Kenny: Nothing's wrong. Babies know how to be born.

Rebecca: How long did your son take?

Bonnie: How you doing, Bec?

Rebecca: Okay... I'm okay. How did you guys make out?

Mike: Museum's a bust. All glass walls, shattered. It'd be impossible.

Bonnie: And it was picked over pretty good. Lots of folks probably been there before us.

Y/N: We got some water though.

Kenny: Oh, that's good! Nice work.

Luke: Good, good. We save all of that for Rebecca. Anybody else gets a thirst, you can go to the river.

Bonnie and Mike walk away.

Rebecca: Hey, Kids. Glad you made it back safe.

Clem: How are you feeling?

Rebecca: Scared. And it hurts.

Kenny: Hmph.

Rebecca: I wish Alvin was here.

Clem: Alvin was a good man. He was nice to us, and always looked out for everyone.

Rebecca: That man had one of the biggest hearts of anybody I've ever met. I should've told him that more often.

Y/N: When no one else would help us, he gave me things to help with Clem's arm. Bandages and a juice box.

Rebecca: I should've known that big softie couldn't follow through on locking you in the shed. I don't think he wanted to anyway. I know it's a waste of time, but I can't stop thinking about things I should've said to him... Things I should've talked to him about. How am I ever gonna do this without him?

Clem: We'll all help you keep the baby safe.

I wrap my arm around Clem.

Rebecca: Oh, yeah? You're good kids. I'm glad you'll be there to watch out for this baby. Maybe you two will have one some day in the future.

Me and Clem heavily blush.

Y/N: Hopefully.

Rebecca: Ugh! Oh, shit...

Kenny: I got this. I'm worried that we ain't seen Jane in a while. Go check on her, would ya?

Rebecca: Yeah, go on ahead. I'll be fine.

Kenny: Y/N could we talk for a second?

Y/N: Sure.

Me and Kenny walk a decent distance between everyone.

Kenny: Look... Shit I'm so sorry for what I've done to you and Clem.

Y/N: Okay.

Kenny: I understand why you reacted the way you did. You were defending your woman like any good man should. It's just that you and Clem are the only family I have left and I don't want y'all to hate me because of me acting stupidly.

I hug Kenny.

Y/N: I forgive you Kenny. I understand why you were acting that way but I was just being really over protective of Clem and snapped.
