i see and when i see you i'm 

blinded by your radiance. 

but i am a cold gray rock and 

you are the only reason that 

makes me spill silver rainshine 

sometimes, 

and i hate that. 

so i hide from you and 

cover my face with 

bangs of darkness.

but no, you don't love the 

moon as the stories tell it. 

the sun is in love with the earth. 

and i hate that. 

so i pull at her tides 

and yank her hair

but she is still beautiful. 

i eclipse you from her but 

even then i can only 

overshadow a small portion 

of her, because she is endless. 

she is 

a masterpiece, 

and i'm just a rock.
