Chapter 13

Sage knew Tohru and Yuki were out in the garden. Sage stayed away from that. She didn't like getting into the dirt and liked the idea of Tohru and Yuki sharing little things like that.

Sage was preparing to bring lunch out to them since they'd been out for some time.

Sage headed out and was alarmed by hearing Tohru scream.

"Tohru!?"

"Ms. Honda I heard you scream is something wrong!?" Yuki and Sage both found Tohru crouched on the ground.

"There's something under my clothes" she explained.

A snake slithered out.

Yuki took it by the neck.

Yuki was adamant about killing the snake and Sage was on board.

"Skin it and cook it," Sage and Yuki said. Shigure wouldn't allow it since he was a member of the zodiac.

His name was Ayame and he, Shigure, and Hatori were all the same age.

"Poor Hatori..." Sage muttered. Yuki chuckled.

Ayame was also Yuki's elder brother.

When he transformed and got dressed, he stepped out and revealed himself.

He had long white hair and striking golden eyes.

Sage wasn't sure about this guy... he seemed a bit sleazy.

Still, he did seem very close with Shigure.

"Oh, this is Sage and Tohru. I assume you came to meet them?" Shigure asked.

"Indeed I did! My apologies. Hello. I'm Yuki's older brother, you can call me Ayame"

"Um... nice to meet you," Sage said.

"Oh, no, not at all... the pleasure is all mine, princess" Sage's face felt hot suddenly. She couldn't help it. She liked being called 'princess'. It felt nice.

Everything happened so fast after that. Ayame had suddenly abducted Tohru and took her out to eat.

Sage, Kyo, and Yuki all turned to Shigure.

"I don't know why you're upset with me" Shigure stated.

Sage let out a long sigh before returning to the kitchen and serving the food she had made.

"It's no grilled snake, but it'll do" Sage muttered.

Sage sighed, Kyo had taken the food up to his room while Shigure took it to his study. That left Yuki and Sage alone at the table.

"Ms. Sparkes?" Yuki said.

"Hm?"

"Do you find my brother attractive?" Sage nearly choked.

"Where is this coming from?" She asked.

"Just an observation. You were blushing when you spoke to him" Yuki said. Sage leaned back and chuckled.

"Are you jealous?" She asked. Yuki looked away from her.

"No" he answered. Sage could tell he wasn't so good at lying about this kind of stuff.

"Uh huh..." Sage rolled her eyes. "To answer your question, I guess generically speaking, Ayame is an attractive individual... but I wasn't blushing because he's good-looking. He called me something that makes me feel a bit... special I guess"

Yuki looked at Sage carefully.

"Princess," he said. Sage nodded, looking a little embarrassed.

"I'm sorry, if I had known I wouldn't have put on that act at the Inn" Sage chuckled.
