Zayn was finishing up the last-minute details for the proposal. He and Félicité had gone over everything roughly two days ago and informed everybody about it. The date was set to be the first day of Spring (March 20) but the universe had other plans for 1D and their families. He was about to get in the car to go to the store to get certain items. His phone rings.
Phone conversation between Zayn and Lottie
Le: breath raggedly
Z: Charlotte, sweetheart what's wrong? Take deep breaths with me
Le: does as instructed Fizzy is gone
Z: what do you— oh no, where are the youngins
Le: they're out with Dad and Dan
Z: sweetie, why don't you go and have a pamper session. I'll try to get there as quickly as possible I will call the lads.
Le: thanks Z drive safely
Z: I will
Conference call between One Direction
Z: Haz, Ni, Li, where are you as we speak?
H: Zee, you know that Liam and I are in our hometown visiting family
Ni: I am still in London
Z: I will be picking you up then Ni
H: Z why do you sound frantic
Z: well I just got off the phone with an extremely upset Lottie telling me that Fizzy is gone
Li what do you mean by gone?
Z: didn't get an explanation but from how much she was struggling to breathe my mind pieced together that Fizzy had passed
Li: wow
H: should we tell our families and meet in Donny for the Tomlinson family.
Z: yes
Zayn picks up Niall they head toward Louis' childhood home. The drive was shrouded in silence. Once they arrived, Niall went to ring the doorbell Zayn stopped him by unlocking the door. Ni you go check on Lottie and I will check on Lou. Niall nods. They head off to their destinations
Louis room:
Zayn knocks but gets no answer. He opens the door to find the love of his life staring blankly at the wall in front of him. He slowly makes his way to the bed and climb behind his lover. Zayn pulls Louis into his warm embrace. Louis slowly turns his body to where he can rest his face in the crook of Zayn's neck. He bursts out in tears
L: why does everyone leave me. Am I that bad of company?
Z: No, my love you are not bad company
L: Why did mum and fizzy leave me
Z: your mum didn't leave you she left the world to stop suffering from her illness. We don't really know what was going on with Fizzy to know why she left yet. But know this boo Bear, she loves you to the end of time for eternity even.
L: bawls
Z: let it out, love there's no judgment here.
They both end up falling asleep in each other embrace. The other lads and their families made it to Donny. They find Niall and Lottie in the living room.
The lads, 1d families, and Lottie
The Malik sisters make their way upstairs toward Lou's room. Doinya opens the door to reveal Zouis.
S: aww so sweet
W: Louis looks so small cuddled up to Zayn like that.
D: let them rest; they will be functioning on little to no sleep for the next couple of days.
Li: Lottie, where's Zayn
S: he's with Lou
Na: what else would u expect Li?
H: How did he take the news?
A sleepy Zayn makes his way into the living room
Z: (yawns) when I arrived and opened the door to his room he was staring blankly at the wall in front of him. he didn't even notice my presence until I had pulled him in a hug.
Ga: that's expected he was closest to Felicite
G: other than that is there anything we need to worry about?
Z: grief counseling or a therapist
R: why
Z: He feels like he is not good enough and that is why people are leaving him
