Archer is so warm from his heart. I have no idea why he is so nice to me from the day we met. Fine, I admit he annoyed me half the time but still; I don't even know why sometimes I can hug him easily, I don't know why he is unlike many boys I know.
Suddenly, we heard rustling from the nearby bush. We stood up and saw someone come out. He was a red-headed guy with probably green eyes.
"HELP." He yelled and came towards us and hid behind the both of us. He whispered to us, "Help. I can't fight this monster! Not by myself." I nodded and motioned him to go into the tent.
Archer nodded at me and we got our swords ready. The monster came out of the bushes and it was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen.
It was ten feet tall and had horns as sharp as a knife. His skin looked slimy and he was snarling with his long canines ready to tear flesh. Its eyes were golden. We charged at him and he threw me away like a rag doll. So much for being brave.
Archer charged at his right eye and I somehow found the courage to completely blind one of its eyes. He shrieked and fell down. This led me to find the courage and stabbed his legs hard, blood oozing out when I pulled out the sword.
Then Archer shouted, "I need you to give me a boost!" "How?!" I shouted back as he struggled to save himself. "Aeris, Eliana! You have the gift of Aeris!" Oh yeah, I do. I channeled my energy into the atmosphere, summoning a mediocre wind to carry Archer to its head. How heavy is he to carry? Somehow, he managed to land on top of his head and screamed in pain. His torso was bleeding. I accidentally got him too close to the horn. He still managed to cut its horn off. For a second I felt the power of elements in my veins and jumped high up to cut his other horn. The monster stopped moving and evaporated into thin air.
I landed on the ground and gasped hard and Archer came near me and I whispered in his ears, "Not bad, scrawny." He laughed but wheezed and coughed. I gasped and remarked, feeling the crunch of a broken rib, "First day of quest and I am-" I coughed, "Already about to die." Poor Archer's leg had a huge cut. I helped him even if my chest was hurting. As much as I'm surprised that Sofia didn't seem the doctor type, she knew her way with herbs.
She inspected Archer's leg, and said, "The cut is deep, but I have some herbal medicine herbs and I'll need to stitch it. Now, Eliana." She turned to me, "Show me your ribs."
I pulled up my top and saw the new guy staring. Archer grabbed him and whispered in his ear. I could hear him saying something about staying away from me. I smiled and said, "So, how is my body, Doctor Denner?"
She smiled and said, "Well, you are lucky the earth softened your fall, so not much damage on the ribs. Just a nasty bruise. Although, your leg is broken. You need to rest." Then she put some things beyond my understanding on my wound and used her earthy powers to make the herbs work on me faster.
Then she turned towards Archer and said, "Your wound is not bad. Just a normal cut. Except it is from the horns of a giant, so they weren't the most sanitary. The monster's Horns just prickled you. Good thing it's not worse, or you'd be dead." he looked shocked and said, "Prickled? I got a huge cut that is taking the life out of me and I got pricked? What makes you think the lack of sanitation won't kill me? Who made you a doctor?" She looked annoyed and said, "If you don't want to be treated then fine! You-"
James put his hands on her mouth and said, "Calm down. We don't want an angry doctor, Sof. He doesn't mean all that." She made a face at Archer, and mumbled, "Idiot" She applied something and left us alone with the ginger boy. He said, "Look, guys. I am sorry. I shouldn't have asked you to fight the monster for me. Now look at you. It's all my fault. I'm such a freaking coward."
