EMERLIYN SAT AT THE KITCHEN TABLE taking small bites out of her peanut buttered Toast

Emers mother walked into the small apartment they lived in

Emerliyn mom seemed very unsure on what she was saying

She shrugged it off and washed her plate

Emerliyn nodded to her mother, grabbing her beat up shoes and walking out to the community animal shelter that their pets stayed

She walked in and almost everyone was staring at her

She had no idea why so many people were staring at the poor 15 year old

Whispering could be heard, dirty looks could be saw.

Emerliyns friend walked up to the young girl

He came from America about a year ago, he was leaving very soon

Grayson, he was 16 and a very kind boy

Grayson had walked up to the small woman worried

Ava woke up to her alarm, sweet dripping down her forhead

She noticed rio was not on his side of the bed anymore but she was not surprised

But what surprised ava was a shirtless Rio cooking breakfast, with three children sat at the table eating their breakfast

'Good morning Babes.'

Ava kissed all three children's heads

Rio turned around, handing ava a plate of food

'I have to go help the girls today.'

Faking a smile and chewing on her food, she remembered she had to help the girls with a few things

The girls said if she didn't, they'd put rio behind Bars

'Ah. A little birdy told me they were up to something.'

Avas heart started beating faster in her chest as Rio came up behind her, hands on her waist and his hot breath on her neck

'I don't know.'

She knew

But she didn't want him knowing she knew

'Mm. Well okay then.'

Walking into the well known dark  warehouse on the east side of Detroit is where ava found herself tonight

'Ah. Emerliyn!'

'It's ava'

Walking into the well known office, looking at the dark chairs she sat in

'My bad, my bad'

The dark voice teased her, making her pissed off by the second

'Do you have what I want?'

Ava was growing impatient with the person in front of her

'Yes ava, I have exactly what you want.'

Sarcasm was threaded through the raspy voice

Ava slammed her hand against the hard wood desk in front of her

'I will not stand for that. Give me what I need or ima blow your brains.'

Ava basically ran this place. The men and women respected her for who she was

'Jesus okay.'

Handing her a blue wooden box, ava grabbed it and sat it down in front of her

Inside was a few Jewls from her home town she had been after for a few months

'And my share?'

Ava rolled her eyes and looked up to the dark gray blue eyes in front of her

'Your share'

The person nodded at the woman

'Your share is me not blowing your brains'

Closing the box and getting up from her seat, she made full eye contact

'Get me some insight on those three girls.'

'Yes Ava'

'Good.'

Ava had stepped into this world of crime when she moved to America

Grayson never knew

And rio will never know

She had put it down when she got pregnant with the twins, but finally picked it back up after starting with rio

The twins and Marcus were staying the night with Rios ex wife Rhea

Rio was staying out late and by time ava got home it was already 11pm

Ava went to sleep early that night, in hopes rio would be at her side in the morning
