Gray clouds occupy the whole sky, soon it darkens as the night approaches. When they arrive at the location, everyone can see their team. A gloomy atmosphere surrounds them.
The Ancient Oldies seeing them immediately stood up anxiously.
“Commander!”
“Captain!”
They were in a panicked state since last night, they have not found any trace of Jopis. They searched throughout the night till day however it was still no use.
“Report.” Cale in a calm voice says.
No emotions can be seen on his face. He waits for what the Ancient Oldies had found for him to lay out a plan.
“You know Sir Gashan right?” Guardian asks, his eyes on Gashan and the others follow his line of sight to see the man named Gashan.
Cale stayed quiet, waiting for him to continue. Guardian knew his commander was listening so he continued what he needed to report.
“Gashan is a friend of Jopis. Last night he called us regarding the evidence Jopis had sent to him and.”
The phone was passed around for everyone to see. They really saw the message sent by Jopis. Almost all took a deep breath seeing the nasty deeds made by her sister, Elisneh just for her to become the family head.
“And?” Alberu’s eyebrow rose in question.
This time, Cheapskate answers. He wet his dry lips with his tongue before speaking.
“We have not found her.”
The Ancient Oldies grimace at the thought of not finding the exact location. Even at the best of their abilities, they still haven't found a trace where Jopis is. The criminals hid her so well. It’s such a disgrace for them.
“You guys did well. You still found the vague location where Jopis might be.” Alberu offers words of consolation.
He can see them being so down and restless. This could not be maintained because if it does, the morale of the team might go down to the drain.
The heavy atmosphere lightens a bit because of Alberu.
“Let me guess. You found the warehouse where other victims are?” Cale crosses his arms, his gaze ablaze.
“Mn. You're correct , Commander. We asked for backups.” Wind responds.
There was silence for a moment. Everyone is occupied with their own thoughts.
“Young Master. I think I know where Jopis is.” Gashan declares, eyes closed.
“You’re a shaman?” Clopeh asks in wonder.
“You’re correct Sir Clopeh, I’m a shaman.”
A trail of blood from his nose can be seen. He almost collapsed but was caught by Thief beside him.
“In the middle of the forest.”
“In the middle of the forest.”
Gashan and Cale both spoke at the same.
Alberu marvels at why Cale knew what Gashan was about to say. However, he knew it was not the right time to ask.
“Young master, please save her.” Gashan weakly pleads.
Eyes focused only at Cale. Blood still gushing out from his nose, the power of nature he borrowed overwhelming his body.
“The way to break the curse-” Gashan could not persist anymore. He fainted in front of them.
