Porsche

I woke up and saw Kinn sitting in the chair by my side, on his laptop. "How are you now? Better?"

I nodded slowly, trying to sit up but failing. Kinn tutted me and helped me up slowly. He told me to take it easy as I had sustained really bad injuries. I nodded in silence, not wanting to fight anything. I think I was also secretly glad that Kinn was talking to me.

The nurse came in, "aah you are awake! How do you feel now? Let me get your pressure and other checks done. Now Mr Kinn, since your boyfriend is awake, can you kindly go home and rest? You been here for the last 2.5 days, no sleep at all. Don't end up like him in the hospital too." She chuckled.

My eyes opened wide when I heard that. I looked at Kinn who was just avoiding me, his ears all red from the embarrassment. He nodded and stated he would come back. I watched him go as the nurse did her checks on me.

"Hes really been here the whole time?" The nurse nodded in agreement. She mentioned that he was adamant about staying in the hospital till I woke up. Security took shifts to be alongside him but he stayed all the way, checking in with the doctors and all. I kept quiet, digesting all of the information slowly.

I sat quietly, engulfed by my thoughts long after the nurse had left. Despite his cold moody exterior, he had such a sweet nurturing side to him. I felt bad about my interactions with him so far. Maybe, he wasn't so bad despite the job he did?  It wasn't his fault that he was born into this line of work?

I just sat back, drowned in my thoughts till I heard the door open again. I looked up to see Kinn walk in again. "Didn't you go off? How come you are back? Did you forget something?"

"I only left to get a drink so the nurse will stop nagging. I be here till you get discharged. Cannot afford another attack on anyone."

Kinn spoke gruffly and sat down, switching on his laptop again. I deserved that I know, his cold behavior but it still stung. I didn't say anything though. I tried to sit up comfortably. Kinn noticed my struggle and came to help me. He slipped his hand around my waist and held me tight as he pulled me up firmly. After getting me adjusted and comfortable, he pulled the blanket over me ensuring I was well tucked in.

"Do you want to eat anything?" I shook my head no as my stomach growled loudly. A small smile came over Kinn's face and it disappeared before I could say anything. Kinn got me a bowl of porridge. He put it on the dining tray and pushed it towards me. I tried to feed myself but my healing hands were just too much in pain. Kinn then took over the job, of feeding me. I looked at him as he fed me slowly, blowing on the porridge before feeding me.

The last time I was fed was as a kid and after that, I haven been fed as I took over that same duty for my brother Porchay. My eyes glimmered abit but I quickly rubbed off my tears. Kinn noticed it but didn't bring attention to it. He ensured I got fed and gave me my medicines too.

He sat back as I settled myself down. He did his work whilst i watched him. Without realising it, my eyes drooped and I fell asleep, worn out.

I woke up the next morning, Kinn was still doing his work but he had showered and changed. He helped me as I tried to get showered and changed. He even fed me my breakfast again and all. This routine went on for another 3 more days before I was finally discharged.

I went back to a rousing welcome, a mixture of having missed me and one from having saved Kinn despite my own injuries. However, once we got back home, Kinn disappeared again back into his world, shutting me out.

I sighed, wondering how to mend this. I figured the best was to just apologise. I went over to his room and knocked on the door. This time, I waited till I heard Kinn beckon me in. I went in and I saw him changing. I averted my eyes away.

"Kinn, i wanted to say..."
"Sir or Boss. Pick one. Don't call me by my name."
I was abit stunned by that but I bit my tongue.
"Boss. What i wanted to say is.."
"Quick. I don't have the whole night and Sun is coming."
"Can you don't sleep with Sun?!"

I looked up when I said that, in shock. That wasn't my original intention and when I heard Sun was coming over, my words jsut flew out. Kinn cocked his eyebrows at me in mild surprise too.

"Then whom do I sleep with, if not him? I have my needs you know."
"Me. Pick me. Just not him. You don know where else he goes. Its too dangerous. I. I will sleep with you. Make use of me. I'm here."

Kinn stared at me for the longest period of time before he shouted at me to get out.

"Fuck off Porsche. Do you think I am that loose, to sleep with anyone?! Fuck off. FUCK OFF."

I clearly had issues, I kept blowing things with Kinn and there seemed to be no end. I came in wanting to do something else and I end up doing something else. I pinched my nose in frustration and walked away, before Kinn punched me or something.
