"I can't believe we got invited," Terri said.

"It's an auction, enjoy it while it lasts. We're lucky my mom invited the rest of you," Cel said.

"Happy Birthday, Glamour!" Amaya said, "But are you sure you only want one present?"

"Yes. If I get only one, I'll know which one to cherish."

"Sounds like a plan," Terri said.

We flew to the building by dragon. Once we arrived, everyone chatted and no one minded us. Unfortunately, we had to bring Wilbur since I didn't trust him enough to leave him home alone. Mom and Dad were fine with me going to the auction, but I only went because I had another trick up my sleeve. The clock struck ten.

"Uh, guys, I've got to go," I said.

"We just got here," Glamour said, "Enjoy yourself."

"I know, but I have to speak with someone. See you."

I quickly flew away, and into one of the host's dressing rooms.

"Hey! You can't come in here!" he said.

"Oh, I have a pass!" I said, jokingly. I froze him with my staff and threw him out of the window. I sat in the chair and looked at myself in demigod form in the mirror. I unzipped a bag and pulled out my arrows and bow.

"Hello, Phoenix," Skrael said, teleporting behind me.

"Bell doesn't want you here," I said. Bellroc preferred to be called Bell at the fortress or when no one but a member of the Order was around. "You're sick; you should be home."

"But you can't do this without me," he said. I wanted to give you this. He handed me icicle earrings—literally made from an icicle.

"Is this to repair our relationship?" I said.

"No, I can't give you a gift randomly?" he said.

I smiled and put them in.

"Do your friends know about your demigod-ness?"

"No," I said, "And I don't plan on telling them."

"The longer you keep a secret, the harder it'll be to tell the truth."

"What do you know about truths?"

"I'm not the most honest demigod you could say."

"I'm aware, you went against your promise and showed up here."

"Ladies and gentlemen," said an announcer from the stage.

I took Skrael's hand and we disapparated.

"The auction is starting," Celeste said, leading Glamour her to their seats. "Do you know what you want?"

"I have to see it for myself," Glamour said. "Then I'll know."

"I want a billion dollars!" Wilbur said.

"Not you," Celeste said. The auction started and everyone's eyes were directed to the stage. A man walked out and began talking about the items. The first one was an antique vase.

"Do you want that?"

"Nah," Glamour said.

They continued watching. Glamour said no to almost every item. Her eyes lit up when she saw a jar. It was blue and decorated with green and yellow designs. "That." She said, pointing.

"That?"

"Yes!'

"Do I hear two hundred dollars?" the man said.

"One hundred thousand," Celeste said, standing up and holding her number. She was clever. No one would be able to top that.

"I do declare this item yours," the man replied.

"That was a short bid," Terri said.

"I could bid for everything here. I could even buy the place."

Rain suddenly fell against the window.

"Terri, did you know it was going to rain?" Amaya said.

His eye turned a lavender color. "No."

"Unexpected rain is never a good sign," Amaya said.

There was a loud clap of thunder and a flash of lightning which made the lights dim. A tornado swirled around near the stage with lightning flashes. Thunder boomed, and there standing on the stage were four beings dressed in armor.

"Who are they?" Lucifer asked.

"I heard about them in history," Cel said, "Those look like, no, they couldn't be."

"Foolish beings!" The tallest being said. They wore a bird skull as a mask. "We are the First! We have watched over majicks since the stars were young!"

"That would make them, like, thirteen billion years old," Bones whispered. "What are they?"

"I have no clue," Ferd said.

The leader conjured up a logo.

"That's the same one we saw in class," Celeste said.

"This world was created to become a paradise in which every creature would live in harmony. But man has disrespected that balance," the cloaked being said, "Abused it."

"You will bow to us!" said the one with the mask.

No one moved.

The second being with a dark cloak shot a bolt of lightning to the air with his staff, "Renounce your actions or die!"

"We will never bow to you, you darn dirty demigods!" Wilbur shouted.

"No, Wilbur, what are you doing?" Amaya whispered.

The leader, a flame, turned to face the team. They removed their mask. Wilbur's eyes went wide.

"She's hot," he said.

The flame lowered to the ground and began walking towards them. The team backed away.

"Hi, I'm Wilbur, and I find you sexually attractive," Wilbur said.

Lucifer face-palmed. Terri and Amaya looked away. Bones and Glamour looked at the ground. The leader snarled and grabbed him by the neck. She floated over the stage where the rest of the Order was standing.

"No! Stop!" Celeste said.

She gripped his neck tighter and grinned.

"If she kills him, what do you think that makes us?" Cel whispered to them.

The team began walking towards the stage.

"Wait!" Cel said.

The leader looked at them. She held Wilbur out.

"Really?" she said, "Then why don't you take him?"

Wilbur tried to pry her ashy hands off of his neck.

"I still like you by the way," he said in a choked voice.

The leader rolled her eyes. She threw him to the other side of the room.

"If you're supposed to be protecting the magic and mortals, then why do you suck at it so much?!" Terri shouted.

The frosty member walked towards Terri.

"You constantly destroy our seas, cut down our trees, break the land, and pollute the air!" she said, "Why are we the ones who disrespect the earth? Riddle me that."

"You seem familiar," Terri said.

She flew back over to the Order.

"Let tonight be a lesson to all of you mortals! The Arcane Order stands above you! Always has and always will!"

They shot their magic towards the ceiling and disappeared.
