I heard a chuckle from behind me as I pulled, wincing softly as I tightened the silk lace that had begun to cut off all air supply. Well, not that dramatic, but I sure understood why Elizabeth Swann fell unconscious and off the edge of the castle and plunged into the ferocious depths of the sea from one of them.

"You're the one who insisted you could do it by yourself," Braelynn chuckled from behind me as she sprayed my curls with hairspray. "You're lucky you managed to get Jenna over here to do your hair. We both would've fried it extra crispy."
