Barry's pov

I sit Frost down in a chair making sure she's okay before I turn to Iris.

Barry. Iris

Iris. Please don't tell me you're going to defend her she just tried to kill me

Cisco. If she wanted to kill you it would have already happened you kept provoking her

Wally. Sis we saw almost everything don't stand there and act all innocent

Barry. Iris let's go and talk

Iris. Why do we have to leave can't they leave

Barry. First of all they don't have to go anywhere they work here this is their home second of all if you want to do this in front of everyone and then fine you're acting like a entitled brat like you never did anything wrong

Iris. What about what you did wrong you left me for six months you left me I didn't know if you were coming back and when you finally did come back you didn't apologize you didn't think how this would affect me at all

Barry. Apologize I'm not going to apologize I didn't do anything wrong you know why I left you know that I had to do it

Iris. Well you shouldn't have left in the first place we could have found another way

Barry. You know what I realized in the speed force I always put you first ever since we were little kids and for the most part all you did was take from me my love my kindness my apologies. I picked you over my friends I picked you over doing the right thing not once have you tried to understand where I was coming from and you never seemed interested in me until I was the Flash you never loved me that way I loved you for what I could do what I could give you because I was the safe option

Iris. Okay maybe I didn't feel the same for you in the beginning but I do love you besides were meant to be we were married on Earth 2 the newspaper from the future you and me together We Are The Flash

Barry. Iris me and you are not the Flash me Caitlin and Cisco are the Flash they were here from the beginning and I never said that you didn't love me you just don't love me in the way that I loved you the future isn't set in stone it's always fluctuating things change people change just because something can happen doesn't mean it will and the way you're acting I don't know if I would want to marry somebody so selfish

Iris. Oh so you really think I'm selfish

Barry. Yes I do you gone out of your way make things harder for the people around you while expecting apologies from everyone and giving excuses for your behavior that make no sense at all you're not on this team you have no right to judge how it runs or who's on it you've made mistakes too I've made mistakes everybody on this team has made mistakes yet you continue to act all high and mighty

Iris. Wow well then I guess I'm going to my dad's cuz clearly you don't want me around

Barry. Yeah that's probably for the best leave your keys and my mother's ring at The Loft please and don't come back here we need our space we all love you but I think it's best that we spend a little time apart

Iris. Fine we are done I'll be at my dad's if anybody needs me

A little while after Iris left Wally and Jesse went out me Caitlin and Cisco when out for drinks it felt good just being here with my two best friends Caitlin spoke breaking me out of my thoughts.

Caitlin. Don't worry Barry things will all work out in the end

Cisco. Yeah man I'm sure with some time apart you and Iris can think about how you want to move forward

Barry. Thanks guys you always know what to say

Time skip

Iris's pov

It's been about a month and a half since berry came back from the speed force after me and Barry had our fight I packed my things and went to my dad's house turns out Wally told Dad everything him and Cecile had lectured me for about 2 hours on my behavior. It really opened my eyes to how I acted throughout the years and how me and Barry's relationship was so much better when we were just friends he was right I do love him just not in a romantic way not the way I loved Eddie. After about 2 weeks me and Barry decided to break up and do our best to move on with our lives I hung out with my friends at work I even started having romantic feelings for a co-worker named Dyson he's a really good guy. I haven't been to Star Labs in about a month I know soon I will have to go back and apologize to everybody about my behavior especially Caitlin

Author's note so what's up guys I personally think that Iris and Barry are better as friends in the next chapter I will make her apologize to everybody I plan on having some big things happened in the next two chapters by the way Dyson is not a bad guy he is one of the bus metas but he's not a bad guy I'm still thinking about what his powers could be so if you have any suggestions let me know
