Chapter 9: Impossible Delivery and Getting Along

Hey guys, sorry that this is so late. I haven't had any motivation to write ever since Billy's passing.

And I have also been thinking about ideas for the readers powers, I have not thought of anything lol.

I know, sad.

I am still open for suggestions! They will be greatly appreciated cause I can't think of anything for the life of me!

(First POV)

I was in Monkey Kings cave as I heard blasts going off and the ground beneath me shook. I tried to focus on my book but couldn't when I was worrying about MK.

You may be wondering why I am here after my last encounter with Monkey King. Well, MK wanted us to get along and move on from our first encounter with each other. He mostly just wanted his two very important people in his life to be friends. Of course I couldn't say no to him, so he brought me along for his training.

I thought I would take this opportunity of them training to start studying some moves in the book, but I never expected MK's training to be so loud. They were on the other side of the island and yet there fighting is echoing pretty well around the mountain. I can't exactly concentrate on reading if this is going on while some rock dust keep falling from the ceiling of the cave onto myself.

The monkey's are not much help either, they are also very distracting, with their cute little faces. And they know what they're doing, they just want attention and food. I groaned as I felt a monkey climb on my shoulder and look through my hair for some bugs to munch on as another huge blast echoed along the walls and shook the mountain.

He really has been training really hard, huh? I just hope he isn't pushing himself and not taking care of himself when he needs it.

Suddenly, I heard MK screaming? I looked around myself as the screaming got closer and closer. I rubbed my ears to see if I was hearing things, but I wasn't as the screaming got even louder. The next thing I know, MK fucking crashes into the ceiling of the cave, scaring me and the monkey's as we all screamed in fear.

I stared at the crevice and heard MK groaning in pain. I panicked as I set my book down and got up to check on him, when the dust cleared, MK's upper half was sticking into the ground. I went up to him and reached out to him but Monkey King came out of the direction MK came from and landed a few feet away from us. His landing causing us to hover in the air.

"Better. Way, way better!" Monkey King said happily as he grabbed MK before he could hit the ground, his tail wrapped around my own waist.

"You're totally getting the hang of this bud!" he said again as he flipped MK around before setting his feet on the ground.

"Uh, what the hell was that?!" I yelled angrily as I glared at the monkey man. He just looked at me, that damn smile on his face still.

"That is his training!" he said before placing me down on my own feet and unwrapping his tail around me. I just stared at him with a look of disbelief on my face. Before I could say anything again, MK spoke.

"Am I really doing better?" he asked his teacher with stars in his eyes.

"I mean it does make sense. You are getting trained by me!" Monkey King said confidently as he smirked, showing his fangs as he pointed at himself. I rolled my eyes at his cockiness.

"Now we just gotta work on your focus." I snorted as I covered my mouth with my hand, MK just got called out on.

"Yeah, I am the best at foc- What do you mean, work on my focus?!" He yelled in disbelief as he got up in his mentors face. Monkey King just smiled cockily at him as I tried my best not to laugh.
