Hafsoh's POV
My husband's family house is like 30mins drive to our house, so we got there around quarter to 6pm. I handed over to my in-laws along with some of there relatives that we met in their sitting room, pleasantries were exchanged and all other Yoruba traditions were done. After using a hour to greet from house to house, I was later taken to one of the rooms in the house. My relatives already left and I wasn't as bitter as I was when I was leaving my father's house because i knew they will eventually leave which was why I declined my sister offers of staying for few more hours. I checked the time on my phone and saw that it's time for ishai already so I entered the bathroom, performed ablution and observe both magrib and ishai. I was supplicating when I heard someone knocked on the door which was followed immediately by a footsteps.....................
Abdulrahman's POVI got married to my second wife today, to say I'm happy will be underated because I love her lillahi ( for Allah sake) even though lots of negative comment has been made concerning this marriage but I don't care. To some of them getting married to a second wife is too early because my first marriage is just 3yrs, while some said I'm too young to marry a second wife and to some my first with isn't satisfying me any more which is not true.
By Allah my first wife has been nothing but good to me, she's beautiful, caring, romantic, good cook, appreciative, religious and everything I wanted in a wife even though she is yet to come to terms with my idea of marrying a second wife which is seriously affecting me and I just hope she will come around soon. I'm getting married to hafsoh for Allah sake, to follow our prophet Sunnah and also because I love her, I'm getting married to her because the prophet said " the best thing for two people who love each other is nikkah".
I met hafsoh 1yrs ago at their school annual Qur'an competition. I was one of the judges and she wasn't even part of the participants. I was passing by their classes to go to the restroom when I heard someone crying, I couldn't ignore that so I went back to check what was happening. I met her crying with her head on the table and asked her what's wrong? She said amidst sob that she's having headache. Immediately she said this, two things came to my mind. It's either the headache is really serious or she's just a little spoilt brat who cried over everything. I told her to stand up and follow me to their principal office so that she can be taken care of, I was surprised when she said her school doesn't have what can relieve her of the headache, because how will a big School like this not have ordinary paracetamol, I'm really curious about the content of their first aid box then. I told her sorry and left for the restroom to urinate after which I decided to help her get paracetamol from any nearby pharmacy. I got the drug few shops to their school and I met her in the same position I left her. I stretched my hand to giver her the drug, she collected it and said thank you. I told her to use it in my presence, that was when she told me that the drug won't work. I became curious as to why she would say such and I was about to lecture her on positive mindset when asked for my phone instead. I asked her for what she needed my phone for and she said she wants to call her brother to comma pick her, i gave her the phone and her brother picked up immediately. She explained the situation to home and he said he's on his way. I left her in the class after telling her sorry and to take care.
I decided to check on her after 20mins and I noticed she wasn't there which means her brother has carried her home. The competition finished around 4pm and I left for my house immediately after observing my 4pm solah at their school mosque.
The ringing of my phone brought me out of my thinking, I checked the caller ID and saw that it's my mom and I picked up immediately. Well she called to ask whether I'm already on my way to the family house because I'm in my house and I told her I will be there in few minutes. I checked the time and I saw 8:49am, I left the sitting room to our room ( the room I shared with my first wife), I changed into the new cloth I sew for this nikkah. My first wife was lying on the the bed when I entered and called her name which she didn't answer, she pretended to be asleep so I just pecked her on the front head before exciting the room to where my car was packed while calling my fawzan who's is the only friend I invited to the nikkah to meet me at our family house.
I got to the family house around 9:20am and we left for the nikkah venue immediately. The program was pretty short so we finished around 30mins to jummah because it's was held on Friday which fortunately happened to be a public holiday. I went for jummah with fawzan after which we went to his house. I didn't go to the my family house because people are much there which I'm not comfortable with, I already called my mom to inform her and I was glad she agreed.
I left fawzan's place after observing my magrib and I got to our family house when the adhan for Ishai was been called. I decided to go and pray before entering the house. By the time I got home, people has reduced just two of my Aunty's and their kids were around. They couldn't go back because they're both going to Lagos and they don't want to travel at night. I met my mom I the parlor and she told my wife is in my former room. I knocked on the door and entered since there was no response. A part of me wanted to wait till I get a response while the naughty part said I should enter since she's now my wife. I met her praying when I entered, so I told her to let's observe 2 nawafil and other Sunnah to be performed by newly Weds. I then left the room to get us food, only to get back and meet my beautiful wife sleeping already, she was still in her khimar so I decided to remove it for her but I thought against it as she might not be comfortable without it around me yet. I changed my cloth and joined her on the bed as well, I pull her into my embrace, said my sleeping adkar and set alarm for tahajjud ( midnight prayer) before I slept off.
