Chapter 3: Talons and Tea Leaves

When they finally arrived at Hogwarts, The Hogwarts Choir had just finished singing.

Then Dumbledore began to make announcements

"Welcome, Welcome to another year at Hogwarts! Now, I'd Like to say a few things before we all become too befuddled by our excellent feast, First, I'm pleased to welcome Professor R.J Lupin, who kindly consented to fill the post of Defense Against The Dark Arts Teacher, good luck professor!" Said Dumbledore

Lupin simply bowed.

"That's why he knew to give you the chocolate Harry!" Said Hermione

"Cool!" Said Alaina

"Potter!" A voice called out

That One Voice was Draco.

"Is it true that you fainted? I mean that you really fainted?" Asked Draco amused

"Shove off Malfoy." Said Ron

Draco looked away.

"When the hell did he find out?" Asked Alaina

"Honestly, who cares?" Asked Hermione sarcastically

"Our care of Magical Creatures Teacher, Professor Kettleburn, has decided to retire in order to spend more time with his remaing limbs. Fortunately, I'm delighted to announce that his place will be taken by non other than, Rubeus Hagrid!" Said Dumbledore

Hagrid stood up, amazed.

Everyone in the Hall cheered for Hagrid.

"Finally, on a more describing note, at the request of the Ministry of Magic, Hogwarts will until further notice, play host to the Dementors of Azkaban, until such a time Sirius Black is captured. The Dementorswill be stationed at every entrance to the grounds. Whilst I've been assured that there presence will not disrupt our day to day activities, They will not distinguish between the one they hunt or the one's that stand in there way." Said Dumbledore

"Therefore, give them no reason to harm you. But you know happiness is still found, even in the darkest of times, when one remembersto turn on the lights" Said Dumbledore

"That's Kind Of Irresponsible." Said Alaina

Later, when the Gryffindor's tried to get into there Common Room, the lady in the painting refused to let them in.

"Fortuna Major!" Said Seamus

She didn't open the room.

"She won't let me in!" Said Seamus

"Fortuna Major!" Said Harry

She still didn't open the Room

"No No No, Wait Wait! Listen to this!" Said The Lady

She started singing and then screaming loudly, the glass she was holding shattered, everyone covered there ears

"WE GET IT, LET US IN!" Screamed Alaina

The Lady finally let them in.

"About Bloody Time!"

Later at night.

"The Boys are probably having more fun then us."

"Don't say That!"

"Yeah, we're not having fun, but we don't need to."

"Hey Alaina, What's up with you and that Hufflepuff Girl?"

"I-"

"Hermione said you two went Stargazing."

"Oh, How Romantic!"

"I-Its Nothing! We're just friends!"

"For Now? Or are you not ready to tell her how you feel?"
