After yesterday's date with John I couldn't wait to tell somebody about my new boo so I called up Rena!

"Hey Rena, how are you girl!" I said smiling into the phone

"Hey girl I'm great me and Mark started dating and it's just been wonderful!" Rena said

"Well Rena I have some news and no it's not anything bad but you can't tell the others yet!" I said to her

"Girl you know I won't spill the tea!" Rena said making me giggle

"Last night me and Detective went out on a real date!"

"Wait! Hold up! Wow you really like him!" Rena said excitedly

"Wait there's more, after we were laughing having a great time he asked me to be his girlfriend!" I said hearing Rena scream in excitement

"Omg girl I'm so happy for you! You definitely need someone else in your life because it's been too long!" Rena said as I agreed

"Well Rena I love you take care! Oh and tell Mark I said hello!" I said smiling

"I love you too Hollis Have a great day!" Rena said before I hung up.

I took the time to just think about everything I had to go through in life. My boss wanted me to burn in a warehouse because I didn't wanna work with him professionally or personally! Me, Faber and my book club members cracked three killers literally in one year and now it's time for me! It's time for me to live my life and I want kids and I want a husband but in due time.

I started to think about what my mom would think about my life and how I'm trying to turn it around and if I did have kids I would want them to know who my family was. I decided I wanna leave another message so maybe one day she'll change her ways and call her daughter back!

"Hey mom it's me again Rebecca I wanted to let you know that I changed my name to Hollis Morgan. I know you might be mad about that but I needed a fresh new start! Mom I took down three murders in the past months! And soon I'm going to be in my first case because I'm an attorney now! Mommy I miss you so much! And I wanna have kids I want them to know my family just please one day call me back I love you!" I said before a tear fell from my eye

I love my mother with everything in me but once she cancelled me out she made everybody else did! And another thing that hurts me is that I have a sister and our bond was amazing! But right before my mom completely shut me out of the family she got a new number.

I haven't bothered to even try and go to the house I don't even know if they stay there still! but if so I couldn't bring myself to it.

I finally decided to go grab some coffee with Gene and maybe he'll be the next person I tell about me and Detective Faber's date last night.

"Hollis I'm so glad to see you! What you been up too?" Gene said as he greeted me

"I'm so glad to see you as well and everything has been great actually never better!" Hollis said as Gene raised his eyebrow

"Who is it? Wait Hollis is it who I think it is!" Gene said as Hollis giggled

"It is! He actually took me on a date last night and we talked so long the waitress had to kick us out! But the most juiciest part is that he asked me to be his girlfriend and we kissed!" Hollis said as Gene pretended to fall out his chair with excitement

"Omg this is amazing Morgan and Faber I like it!" Gene said as I smiled

"Yes he's absolutely amazing! Oh and wait did I tell you he said he wanted to start a family one day and he would like for it to be with me!"

"Omg I love you guys that literally made my day but I think you might wanna turn around." Gene said smirking

I turned around and there he was. The biggest smile appeared on my face he started to approach me.

"Hey Hollis How are you today? You look beautiful as always." Faber said before he kissed her cheek

She blushed

"I'm great detective I feel absolutely wonderful especially after last night I really enjoyed myself!" Hollis said making Gene and Faber smile brightly

"I'm excited about that Hollis, especially because your my girlfriend now! I'm gonna grab some coffee and I think I have an idea for our new date coming up." Faber said as Hollis smiled and hugged him she kissed him on the cheek while Gene was overly excited about her new happiness

"Okay I'll let you get your coffee I can't wait for our date Mr Faber." Hollis said before so say back down

"Omg girl your so in love! Y'all are too cute!" Gene said as Faber grabbed his coffee

"Bye gorgeous! Oh and bye Gene." Faber said before he walked out

"Y'all are definitely gonna make it I can already tell." Gene said before they finally moved into the next topic
