Confrontation with Wilbur had gone about as good as expected. His brother had been surprised to see him and it took a while for him to tell the truth.

George confessed how he got kidnapped and what happened next. He even explained how they escaped. He didn't mention by who and how he got kidnapped, neither did his brother ask. Yet, something told George that Wilbur already connected the dots.

It hurt when Wilbur announced that he already knew about 'Project 404'. George blamed himself for not noticing earlier. He loved his brother, but his hostile attitude towards everyone that wanted to get close to George, and that he had insisted on moving to the US with George despite not liking the country, should've alerted him that something was off.

The trio had found a nearly abandoned motel not that far from the university. Sapnap saved the day when he brought out a card, which they apparently used during their missions. Purchases were untraceable and the card had no limitation. Most likely extremely illegal, but that line had been rather blurred these last weeks.

Speaking of Sapnap, the ravenette was currently snoring loudly. They got a single room with a one bed and one sofa. Sapnap had quickly claimed the bed and Dream stole Sapnap's pillow before laying down on the floor. Leaving George to sleep on the sofa. It was late and the sofa was lot more comfortable than the cell. Still, he couldn't sleep. His brain kept forcing him awake, so he eventually caved.

A window was placed just above the sofa. Stars shone softly, he tried to distract himself by searching for different constellations, however his eyes kept zoning out, forcing him back into his mess of thoughts.

His gaze quickly landed on Dream who was seemingly asleep, with the blonde locks in a mess around the pillow. Dream didn't have a shirt on and was laying on his stomach. George felt flustered when his eyes landed on the muscular back. A sting of sorrow suddenly pierced through his heart, overshadowing the flustered feeling, as he spotted the countless faded scars.

His feelings were at a constant battle regarding the blonde boy. Dream, and Sapnap for that matter, had pulled him into this mess. But after Wilbur's confession, it seemed as though it had just been a matter of time before something similar would've happened. But he couldn't completely ignore the feeling of betrayal that still lingered.

Although a tiny part of him was somewhat thankful that Dream and Sapnap were the ones to kidnap him. George wanted to believe that they were good people who'd ended up on the wrong side of the law. Both could've left him to rot in that basement and went on with their lives. That they agreed to help him must count for something. Right?

His gaze had drifted back to the window. Too engulfed by his thoughts caused him to flinch when he felt a soft material being draped over his shoulders, which turned out to be a blanket.

Dream slumped down on the opposite side of the sofa. The blonde gave George a questioning look. George shrugged his shoulders before returning to his previous activity, staring out into the abyss.

"Trouble sleeping?" Dream's voice was low, probably to avoid waking Sapnap. George nodded slowly.

George felt the how the green eyes still lingered on him. Something about the situation caused a sudden urge to be transparent with his feelings, which was rare in George's case.

"Dream, do you think Schlatt would leave me alone if he managed to succeed with getting what he wants?"

Dream remained quiet for a moment. George nearly thought that he wasn't going to answer.

"Well, do you want me to be honest? Because I could probably give you decent lie, if you prefer." Dream claimed jokingly. George huffed and rolled his eyes.
