Chapter 29: Henry

I'm sprawled across Amy's couch. She's curled up next to me asleep, her head resting on my chest and her hair tickling my chin softly. I think she noticed I was a bit off today but she didn't push it and I'm glad. I really don't want to talk about it. Honestly, I feel pretty betrayed by Kingston right now. Does he not get that we don't all need to be bros? LaTroy really hurt Amy and Noah has completely changed from the guy I used to know. Kingston only joined the troupe this year and he's going around playing peacemaker. Sorry, but some people don't deserve to be forgiven.

Look, I get LaTroy feels guilty. At least that's something. And he and Amy are on fairly decent terms, I know she snaps him sometimes but I don't think they're proper friends anymore. But Noah has treated Richelle so badly, and I think he's doing the exact same thing to Jacquie, she's just too oblivious to notice. The only reason I agreed both of them should be allowed back into the bros was because I missed my two best friends. But I think I made a mistake.

Ozzy agrees with me. And actually, I don't think it's because of his crush on Richelle. I think he genuinely just disagrees with what they did. Plus he's not talking about Richelle as much anymore. I think he knows she's just not in the right headspace at the moment. I know he messaged her to check in but she left him on delivered. Not the nicest thing to do, but after the week she's had I don't blame her not wanting to be active on social media. Especially not with Jacquie's posts. Like we get it, you have a new boyfriend, but you helped him cheat, you need to calm down about what a "perfect couple" you make. I'm pretty sure he's gay anyway.

Amy stirs softly, shaking me out of my thoughts. "Hi sleepy" I smirk, kissing her forehead lightly. "Hey" she murmurs, sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. I don't blame her for being tired, this has been an intense week of rehearsals. I thought West would be a fun choreographer, and he is, but he's taking the qualifier way more seriously than I thought he would. That's probably a good thing though, me and Amy looked up some of the other entries on YouTube earlier and they looked AMAZING, we'll have our work cut out to make top twenty.

"You wanna watch something else" Amy laughs, nodding her head at the My Little Pony episode playing on the tv. I grin, embarrassed. "Please. I didn't know how to work your remote." She giggles and flicks through the channels, eventually stopping on a channel playing reruns of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. "You ok with this?" she asks, nuzzling back into my chest. "Yeah, this is cool" I say, wriggling around to get more comfortable. We sit in silence for a few moments, before I decide to say it.

"I love you Amy." "Really?" she lifts her head up to look at me. "Yeah, obviously" I smile back, leaning in and kissing her. She settles back down onto my chest and my hands tangle in her hair. "I love you too, Henry" she murmurs, falling back asleep. I smile and go to turn down the volume on the tv so it doesn't wake her, then realise I still don't know how to work the remote. I eventually fall asleep on Amy's couch, happy with her despite the day I've had.
