Togata couldn't believe his ears, because what he was told was just so absurd, so out of nowhere, it didn't seem possible.

Midoriya had managed to run away, and Ochako had to suffer the consequences. Togata wasn't sure what had happened to her, and he could only pray she wasn't dead, but considering the heroes kept quiet and no one was saying anything definitive, clearly being evasive about the situation...either she already was too far gone to give any hope, or she was already dead. Either of the scenarios meant that something dark loomed over the school, and if that wasn't bad enough, serious protests began to take place from within.

Many of the rescued people, those who lived within UA's walls, attempted to barge into the main building of UA in hopes of getting to the principal and either spitting in his face or killing him. Chaos arose as the heroes (whose ideas weren't that different from those who they were suppressing) attempted to hold them back, eventually resorting to physical threats as the protesting crowd almost instantaneously acquiesced in response, realizing just how inferior they were in comparison to the trained soldiers and heroes.

The tension was rising, and it was rising fast. A battle arose within UA's walls, whereas the real war was happening outside of them. Not enough troops and heroes were being used for what was most important, and yet, nothing could be done to change that.

That is, until finally, Togata was called out by Nezu for a meeting discussing their new assignment.

"I'm afraid I have no choice but to take the smallest of steps with our current situation." Nezu stated, his fingers interlocked as he sat at the far end of the meeting table. "I want everyone in this room to investigate the situation outside the walls. Any resources you may find, I want brought back to us as soon as possible. People are bound to be fueled by hunger as well, and besides, some food will never be extra."

"What about searching for Midoriya?" Togata intervened, feeling more confident with the question already hanging in the air. "Shouldn't we be prioritizing looking for him instead?"

"I understand your concern," the way Nezu started his sentence already had Togata's shoulders slumping, "however, that is too much of a stretch. We don't have the power to stop him, and with the new information we've gathered, he may be more dangerous than we first thought he was."

"Than you thought he was." Aizawa snapped, much to Togata's surprise. The room turned deathly quiet, and no one dared take Nezu's side. Nezu let out a small sigh, nodding.

"That was my mistake. I wish to say there was no way I could have known, but that excuse is futile and quite evasive. I hope we'll be able to figure out a way to avoid facing him in battle, but in the meantime, I'll attempt to form some sort of plan to take care of the situation in case something unpredictable may happen."

"So, all we need to do is get some resources, right? Toilet paper, food, so on." Hado attempted to change the topic, smiling brightly at the principal, and Nezu, grasping the opportunity smoothly, nodded as he turned toward the student with a smile.

"Yes. Of course, anything else you may find of use to us is also welcome, but keep in mind the limitations you have when it comes to how much you can carry. Don't overexert yourself, or the bags for that matter." Soon after the formalities were finished, and after a few minutes of rising tension, they were finally let off and given their equipment before they were led to the exit out of the UA territory.

"That was horrible. Everyone is so on edge..." Amajiki grunted, his eyes downcast as he frowned at the floor. Togata didn't respond as Hado nodded slowly, chuckling sheepishly.

"It's as expected, considering...you know. The whole fiasco with Uraraka, that poor girl..." Hado let out a long sigh. "I can't imagine the betrayal she must feel right now. What a mess." No one dared correct Hado. they didn't know that Ochako was dead, after all, and it was no use attempting to phrase it in a way that hinted at it. There was still a chance, after all, even if it was small.
