It's... a seahorse? There's dragons and seahorses in this lava? How the hell does that work? How do they co-exist in a place like this?! The thing's stats are so low compared to the Fire Wyrm, and it was only level 2!!!

"Maybe the wyrms don't consider the seahorses worth bothering with?"

Hm... Now that I think about it, they both have "Gune" in their name, so maybe they're related in some way? Maybe an evolution?

It physically attacks other monsters from the Middle Stratum but will confront intruders from other strata mainly by launching fiery projectiles. Well, it's nothing to write home about but I can still use it for transport if nothing else. Better than trying to find a way across on my own-- HEY!

While I was busy reading the thing's data, the damn thing spat a fireball at me!

It's low on intelligence, though. And once it runs out of MP it resorts to melee. So all I gotta do is get it to waste its MP.

Sounds easy enough! It's already wasted one shot, how much MP does it have left to go?

With Foresight in my arsenal, it was a simple task to avoid the seahorses flames. It sent another, then another, and another after that, all easy to evade. Eventually, its MP came down to a measly 10. It had one more left in the tank, and, as expected, it fired it off without any strategy, simply aiming to hit me. I wonder if that low intelligence thing will be a problem...

But, anyway,
