According to our Tundra Wilderness Tour Guide, only 30 percent of Denali National Park visitors get to see Denali. Even less than that can see the whole mountain. Rain, fog, clouds, and forest fires can decrease visibility (the smoke from a growing fire around Fairbanks clouded things up the day we left).

For us, the Alaskan gods were smiling. There was some haze, but we were able to see Denali at a lookout point along the way (Parks Highway) and during our wilderness tour. All three of our days in the region were sunny and uncharacteristically warm (high seventies Fahrenheit). These pictures were taken with just an iPhone 12 Pro.

It's not a cloud. It's Denali! Everyone in our party went "oh" the moment they realized that. This was taken at a lookout point on Parks Highway.

This is inside Denali National Park. We're approximately 75 miles away from Denali (and the camera is almost fully "zoomed in.")
