Backstory| Kayla was the first born to her parents Mandy and James, and life was great until she turned 4 that's when her younger sister was born. At first everything seemed okay before her parents' attentions were always on her sister. She couldn't help but always try to get them to see her, where it be her school work or drawings, but both seemed to fail. That's when she retorted into being a compete brat, always whining, and trying to fight for her mother and fathers attentions. When she turned 6 her parents had forgotten her birthday, and had just returned home after midnight from a day out with her sister. Kayla had gotten mad and as a 6 year old she had quiet a temper, that was the day that she realized she had magic. She ended up accidently setting the house on fire, her mother and sister were already in the room upstairs and was trapped by the flames. Kayla had run out to get to safety as her father ran up to her her mother and sister but failed. The two were already gone by the time he reached them, so he ran back out and ignored his living daughter. Even ignoring his living daughter he still had to care for her, her father had chosen alcohol and a strict hand. Kayla's memory holds no place of kindness from her parents, the only memory she truly had of kindness was when she first started at Hogwarts. Being the first muggleborn Sorted into Slytherin, Kayla knew she had a lot to work towards in showing that she was not your typical Slytherin.
