I immediately sit up. I realize that the alarm going off is my backup alarm. Shit I've overslept. I look at the clock, it's 7am. My bus comes at 7:05. I catapult out of bed and race to the bathroom. I quickly run a brush through my messy hair and begin to brush my teeth. My bus ride is 40 minutes long, as I am the third person picked up. None of this would be a problem if I would just get my license like a normal 16 year old, but I just can't. Driving scares me so much that I'd rather take the hot smelly bus. I run back to my bedroom and gather the messy stack of papers off of my nightstand and shove it into my backpack. I grab my Converse out of my closet and slip them on, not even tying the laces. I throw my backpack over my shoulder and scurry down stairs. I whip open the fridge door grabbing the bread and the turkey. I slam the ingredients down on the counter and quickly throw together a sandwich. I grab a sandwich bag and place it inside and throw it in my backpack. I glance out the window to see my bus had already arrived. I grab my belongings and sprint outside, but I was too late. "SHIT!" I yelled. "Need a ride?" said a voice behind me. I recognized that voice, deep and raspy, it was Dylan. Before I can even respond he tells me that we are leaving in 20 minutes and that we will stop for coffee on the way. "I'll pick you up in your driveway" he said, then he walked back across the street to his house. I stand there for a moment shocked at what just occurred, but I shake it off and go back into my house. I head back upstairs to attempt to make myself look more presentable. I take off my hoodie and sweatpants that I slept in, and dig out a pair of jeans and a cute top from my laundry pile. I didn't have time to do makeup earlier, so I decide to put some on now. I sit in front of a mirror and put on some concealer, blush, highlighter, and some mascara. I look at the clock up it's been 20 minutes, so I figure I'll head downstairs. Halfway down the stairs I hear a car horn. HONK HONK
