Jewel Fisher, for as long as she remembers, grew up with seven notably important people in her life. Her parents, her mom's friend, her two little knucklehead siblings, and her two childhood friends which one she considers her very own younger sibling, and the other that she has the longest crush on.
For the longest time, it's always been them. Playing games. Watching movies. Going to the beach to swim. Celebrating their birthday, et cetera. And it was a nice experience, Jewel won't lie about that. She gets to be with the people she loved and cared for the whole summer.
She loves them, and they love her, even when some things did change one summer. Isabel was different, on the physical side but thank goodness not much on the negative. Conrad was off some times, down and distant. Jeremiah was the same golden boy and brother she knows, only much more teasing and forward. And Steven was... Different? Upfront? She wasn't sure, but she liked it.
Only Jewel was the one that never changed and she refused to. She remembers doing it before in her boarding school, yeah... Not exactly the best. And from then on, she wouldn't change. Not for her parents. Not for anyone.
