Penelope the Babysitter

Chapter 1

Penelope pov

Saikawa-san opened the door and inside was an old lady with shaggy hair.

"Saikawa. Leave us alone." - Chairwoman

He bowed to us and left.

"You have been having family issues right?" - Chairwoman

I flinched.

She noticed this and continued speaking.

"I'm willing to help you if you wish to leave the Eckhart household." - Principal

My head snapped up.

"R-Really? You'll help me?" - Penelope

"Hmph! Don't think its free! Its a give and take world!" - Chairwoman

"If you want me to help you then you have to become a member of the babysitters club!" - Chairwoman

"Alright! I'll do it!" - Penelope

"Any free time you have, you'll have to spend it babysitting the children." - Chairwoman

"In return, you can stay at the mansion here. You'll be provided with food and if you want, I can cover your education fees too." - Chairwoman

"Thank you ma'am! But I think the CEO might be offended if you choose to pay my education fees." - Penelope

"Hmm. Alright then. Starting from today you are a student of Morinomiya High and a member of the Babysitters Club!" - Chairwoman

Saikawa-san led me to the Babysitters Club Room.

"There is another student in the Babysitters Club who shares the same classes as you. I'm sure Ryuichi-Sama will be glad to help you Penelope-Sama." - Saikawa

"Please don't call me that, Saikawa-san!" - Penelope

"Then how about Penelope-Hime?" - Saikawa

"Ehh?! Please just call me Penelope!" - Penelope

Saikawa was silent for a while before he took off his glasses and wiped the tears from his eyes.

"S-Saikawa-San?!" - Penelope

"I apologize. I'm really moved by your beautiful act of kindness." - Saikawa

He immediately regained his composure.

"Please excuse me now, Miss." - Saikawa

Penelope sweatdropped.

His actions look both so sincere and so fake at the same time.

I turned towards the door.

I hope.... they like me....

I took a deep breath and mustered up the courage to slide open the door.

I slid it open gently because there were children on the other side.

I didn't want them to be startled.

I would always get startled whenever Reynold bust into my room.

I peeked in.

"U-Um.... Excuse me...?" - Penelope

A boy with brown hair and grey eyes glanced up to look at me, curiosity painted all over his face.

He then beamed at me and stood up from his position with a child in his arms.

"You must be the new student and member! My name is Kashima Ryuichi! It is a pleasure to meet you!" - Ryuichi

"Its a pleasure to meet you too! M-My name is Penelope! I heard about you from Saikawa-san! Please take care of me!" - Penelope
