Carmen's POV

     The night was dark but I was wide awake. There was no way I would dare try to sleep today, because six months ago on this day exactly I killed the one person who had saved my life from endless evil.  Player, Zack, and Ivy were going to call today; they knew I needed it. There was a knock on my door as my mother came into the room.

     "Mija, I- I know what today means to you. I have it set so that you don't have to help out tod-" She started when I cut her off;

"I think that..." My mind raced with emotions, Grief, pain, nervousness, fear, regret. "That I should tell you the rest of the story" I gulped she had to know, it was her right. "When I told you about VILE and my life I left out some details and I told you I was grieving but never from what. It's time you knew, it's your right." She nodded and signaled that she was ready to listen, and so I started.  "I was rescued from the fire by a man named Shadowsan, a VILE operative sent to kill Dexter Wolfe. Instead ACME's Chief was the one to pull the trigger." My mother's eyes widened as she heard but then nodded for me to continue; "He saved me from the fire and brought me back to VILE island where I grew up, as you already know." I sighed I would have to mention his name next because she already knew about me enrolling and player's part in it. "When I enrolled there was someone I met, his name was Gray." It hurt so much to say his name and my eyes misted and before my mother could spare me from telling her I went on, "We were like Brother and sister at the academy, and where one of us was the other wasn't far behind. But after graduation things changed." I said changed delicately in a way that might suggest not good. "I did not graduate the first year; I failed but instead of giving up I snuck on to the helicopter with the rest of my group. I only noticed my lack of a parachute at the drop zone, luckily Gray was still on board and I pushed him off, along with myself." I paused trying to remember, "he was mad at me for tagging along. After I was discovered by the others, they had kept me out, mostly. Then they said something that was horrible to Gray. 'Leave no witnesses' not me but there was an innocent man on site of the crime and... and he tried to- to kill him but I stopped Gray. I was taken back by the cleaners." I sighed and my mother started,

     "Mija you don't have to continue-" I did anyways

"after my second attempt, I ended on a train to Paris they sent Gray to take me out. I soon had knocked him unconscious and InterPol found him. I later found out that VILE erased his memories of VILE it's self from his head, yes even all the memories with me in them. Somehow he got captured by VILE to get reactivated. When I came to get him out he stayed with VILE after getting his memories back; that was one of the hardest moments for me." I gulped this was about to get very hard, "Then when I was mindwiped he was on my team, soon he must've realized I wasn't myself; He went to ACME and told them to help me and lock him up in return. But ACME chipped him, to what I've been told. He tried to save me in Morocco and in the fight I- I took the crackle rod and-" I started sobbing again "I killed him mama I killed him." she wrapped her arms around me.

"That wasn't you, that wasn't you." then realization dawned on her face "today, Six months ago today." she whispered in a little shock and turned to me "Mija, you- you loved him." It was said as a statement but if I thought about it, I did, I loved Gray Calloway. I killed him; Like a axe to my chest it hit me; he was really gone and I would never, never, be able to see him again. Later that day the tips of my auburn hair were ghost white and my grief of his death, at my realization of love, grew.

3rd Person POV

     The computer screen lit up. Tech answered Player's call, her brows furrowed he looked frantic. "Six months ago today was the 'Dark Red Caper'. Tech if we are going to lose her today would have been a major step closer to darkness!" he practically screamed into the computer. Tech's eyes widened, dawning in realization. She replied, "player calm down we've got him located. I was just about to try and get into his phone when you called."

"You've got to contact him soon! were losing her. I called her today with Zack and Ivy, the tips of her hair were dyed white!" Tech blanched, white for a widow  she thought.
