Later At Dinner
"Steven, I swear to God, if you look at that phone one more time, I'm putting it in the screen basket," Laurel told Steven as he and Jeremiah kept looking at his phone.
"It's just, we want to see your beautiful faces. Can dinner be a screen-free zone? You know, like the olden days." Susannah said but Steven kept looking at his phone.
"Steven," Jeremiah said as he grabbed Steven's phone and threw it like a basketball in the screen basket.
"Dude, are you kidding me?" Steven asked
"Boom! Nailed it." Jeremiah said since the phone went into the basket and started flexing his muscles a little bit.
"Okay, okay, okay, we get it, you've been working out," Steven said
"Oh, you're just jealous because Jere has a better body than you," Belly said
"Uh, no, actually, it's all about the lean look now. Otherwise, you can't wear tailored suits." Steven said making them all laugh.
"Sure, sure. Tailored suits." Jeremiah said
"When are you leaving for training camp, man?" Steven asked Conrad
"Uh, he quit football," Jeremiah said
"Plot twist," Dylan whispered to Belly.
"Wh... Wait really? You quit?" Steven asked
"Mm-hmm," Conrad said
"Are you kidding me, man? I'd-I'd kill to play college ball." Steven said
"He can always change his mind," Susanna said
"I'm not gonna change my mind. I was just gonna sit on the bench all season anyways." Conrad said
"Well, if you're not playing football anymore, what are you gonna do all summer?" Laurel asked
"Oh, dude, you can work at the club. Yeah, with me and Jere." Steven said
"Yeah. I'm not gonna work at the club." Conrad said
"Wait, you guys are working this summer?" Belly asked
"Yeah, I'm lifeguarding, and Steven's working at the snack shop," Jeremiah said
"And I am doing some charity work," Dylan said
"No your not," Greyson said
"Yes, I am I am working at the country club for free that's a charity on its own I am donating my time," Dylan said
"That sounds nothing like you," Steven said
"It sounds exactly like me I am an opportunist I see an opportunity for a job next summer in the ballet department plus I won't get rusty for when I get back home," Dylan said
"So you're working the whole summer for no money," Jeremiah said
"The bonuses make up for me working for free and I make my hours," Dylan said
