"Girl, he's, like, obsessed with you. I know. For sure." Belly overheard a girl tell her friend as she looked toward Nicole and Conrad kissing then she looked away not wanting to see them as a guy came up to her.
"Flavia? Hi. It's me, Sextus." Cam said
"What did you say to me?" Belly asked still sitting.
"No, no, no, no, no, no. Sextus. From seventh grade Latin convention. You're Flavia, right? You placed second in the poem recitation." Cam said
"Oh, yeah. You, uh, you-you dressed up for the costume contest, right?" Belly asked
"Mm-hmm," Cam said
"Weren't you a...a wizard or something?" Belly asked
"Close. I was Charon, ferryman of the dead. Salve, Flavia." Cam said
"Salve, Sextus." Belly said as she chuckled.
"My real name's not Sextus, though. It's, uh, it's Cam." Cam said
"I-I'm Belly or Isabel," Belly said
"Cool," Cam said
"You can sit down if you want," Belly said
"Oh. Okay. Cool. Yeah. I would love to. Caught me on my way out, but, uh, I can, I can chill." Cam said as he sat down next to Belly.
"Are you new this summer?" Belly asked
"No, no, I'm from here. Are you?" Cam asked
"No, I've been coming to Cousins ever since I was a baby," Belly said
"What? How have we not met until now? I totally would've remembered you." Cam said making them both laugh.
"Your poem. It was a very memorable poem." Cam said making Belly laugh
"Mm. Yeah, no, I stick pretty close to home when I'm here. So..." Belly said
"How come?" Cam asked
"Guess because I-I don't really know anybody, other than my family," Belly said
"Mm. Now you do." Cam said making Belly chuckle as she snuggle up holding herself since she was cold.
"Are you cold?" Cam asked making Belly laugh.
"I'm okay. I'm-I'm fine." Belly said as Cam took off his hoodie to give to her.
"No, no. I don't even like this hoodie. It's... Really? Yeah, it's gross." Cam said making Belly laugh again
"Great. I'll take it off your hands." Belly said as he put his hoodie on her.
"Thanks," Cam said
"Hey, did..." Belly said and sighed
"Did everybody see me fall before?" Belly asked
"Um... Sort of." Cam said
"Yeah. My brother is such a dick." Belly said
