Everyone's gaze was now on me. Well, not everyone.

Antonio stormed out of the room, slamming the door.

I flinched when the door banged into the frame, making me curse myself silently. Luckily, no one noticed. Except Orlando, who was now looking at me with narrowed eyes as if he was trying to look in my soul.

I ignored him.

I turned to Alessio. "Do you still want that information?"

He stared at me in shock. "I think we have more important things to worry about than that, sorella. First, we need to take you to the house and get you settled in. Then, maybe if you're up for it, we can continue talking about it."

I nodded. I don't really need to make a deal for protection now, I guess. Protection and older brothers are kind of a package deal.

Lorenzo looked at the youngest brother. "Dino, if you could go find your twin and tell him that we are leaving. We will be waiting for you in the lobby."

He nodded, following his elder brother's orders and left the room.

After I left the meeting room, I found my way to the gym. I needed to let off some steam.

I didn't bother to wrap my hands and walked over to the punching bags. There wasn't anyone else in the room.

I threw the first punch. After that it was all a blur.

While she was sitting alone in that interrogation room, I watched her through the one-way window. I could tell she was scared. Scared of the monster that took her.

If he did anything to her, I fucking swear.

At the thought of it, I started punching harder, hoping the bag would turn into the ugly mug that is Sebastián Alvarez.

The next time I see that man, he is going to wish he never even heard of the name Marlowe Angeli.

I blanked out.
