Good news: Matthew fired Liam.
Matthew told you the whole story; He told him he wouldn't let him treat his employees with such disrespect. He told him he was a coward and a pig. Some more nasty sentences were said...but that's not important. You're just happy that the chance of seeing Liam is very slim.
Anyways, you have been receiving letters in your locker. Of course you have a locker; it's where you keep your wallet and an extra uniform just in case.
The letters are covered in pink glitter and heart stickers. The words are scribbled with a black crayon. You've been getting them on a weekly.
The first one you've got said:
Dear Y/N,
You're sweeter than a chocolate bar. You're as cute as a puppy. Nothing will ever compare my admiration for you! You make me overheat with love!
These feelings, they've never occurred to me ever! I guess you're that special!
I hope maybe one day you'll be able to feel the same. If not, that's okay, too! As long as that golden smile is pasted to your face, I'm happy, too!
-Sincerely, Your secret admirer <3
At first, you thought Liam freaking lost his mind, but you saw a sun with a smiley face under the word "secret". You then figured out who it was. Sunny.
You didn't say anything about it at first. You found this quite adorable.
The letters kept coming. The glitter on them were a different color each time. Eventually you couldn't keep it in anymore that you knew about this, so today, Friday, you were going to tell Sunny that you know he's the person (or robot) that is writing the letters.
----------------------
As you're cleaning up the toys, Sunny leans to you and asks, "How was your day, Y/N?"
"Oh, It was just another day. I mean...it was okay." You answer.
It's the end of the day already. All of the kids have been received by their parents or legal guardians. You and Sunny are just now finishing up with cleaning. "That's wonderful!" He bounces.
You put the toys in their respectful places. You settle down on your knees and Sunny sits across from you- criss-cross applesauce he would say. "Can I ask you something?" He nods with the biggest smile.
"Well, um...Why have you been putting these lovey-dovey letters in my locker?"
His smile transforms into a flustered expression. He cups his cheeks in his hands, "Y-you know that's me!? Oh gee, this is embarrassing-"
You laugh lightly. "I don't mind. I think it's cute, but...why exactly?"
"I...I haven't necessarily been able to say any of those words to you in person. I really want to, but I get this weird feeling inside...
"I also thought...maybe the letters would cheer you up! From...you know." He gives you a sad expression, "All of the words are true, though! Don't get me wrong..."
You smile lightly. "So," you hesitate, "you...love...me?
Sunny tugs at his sun rays with both hands like he's scared. "Y...yes. We love you, Y/N."
You feel your grin form into a genuine smile. You get up and hug him, wrapping your arms around his neck. He doesn't hug back, surprised. "I love you guys, too, dorks. We'll always be friends."
You feel his face shift at the word 'friends'. You ignore it, thinking he's just smiling. "Yeah..."

(Sunny and Moon's POV)
Y/N has left for the night. They left swiftly after that whole thing. If Sunny and Moon had a heart like humans do, it'd be in a million pieces. They thought Sunny loves them as a friend.
"Golly...Y/N thought..." Sunny says to the thin air, laying on his back staring at the multicolor ceiling.
"Don't worry, Sun. We'll explain it to them eventually. Just give them time." Moon's voice chimes in.
"I know! Just..."
"It hurts?"
"Yeah..."
"We must be patient. We want them happy, not pressured."
The lights shut off throughout the daycare. Sunny disappears, replacing himself as Moon. Moon shuts his metallic eyelids and powers off. Just... Give it time.
