Trying out alcohol markers! + new plans for the future??

Anyway, hi! Yesterday I just got a new box of alcohol markers which are apparently really good, buuuuuut y'all are going to see my failed attempt at it. Today I tried drawing three views to determine what I need to work on you know? Gotta work on my weak points!

Okay I seriously need to stop with owl house puns *cri*

I suppose I really got used to the nice pressure sensitive pen strokes in digital art, because I did not know what the heck I was doing once I put the marker on the page. wOW— never use chisel for lineart even if it is the pointy side. Overall, I'm pretty confident with front view sketching, and don't need to work on it much

Overall, I'm confident enough in 3/4ths perspective, but judging from my other 3/4ths art, there are some areas I need to work on

AH WHY IS THIS SO BAD (you can see I tried to cover my mistakes with whiteout, which ultimately failed)

Me: okay lemme try doing thinner lineart with pen, I hope this doesn't unexpectedly mess up the whole page
Pen: HAHA I'm going to ruin this whole guy's career

Soooooooo, I guess I'm working on side portraits now! WOO—

Maybe I'll do a study on it because I genuinely do want to work on side profiles, but I never really knew where to start, but I guess everything starts with inspiration from the outside world! So, I'll do just that!
