Draco wouldn't let go of me, and I didn't mind at all. I could feel his body warmth again— it felt like it'd been years since I last felt it. I thought I was going to die, I thought I'd never get to see him again.

"Are you hurt? Are you alright?" He whispered into my hair, tightening his grip on my waist. "You idiot.." I laughed. "It's not me you should be worrying about, Draco." He'd been brutally fighting with Leo, he must be hurt.

We finally let go of each other. He immediately started checking me for injuries. "God— I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have left today.." Draco said, gently brushing his thumb over the small cut on my cheekbone. "It's not your fault. He would've found me anyways. He had our location." I said.

Draco gently grabbed my hand, looking at my bloody knuckles and red fingers. "What else did he do to you?" He said, clenching his jaw. I didn't want to worry Draco too much, but he was going to find out anyways. "Just kiss me and stuff, he didn't hurt me. I let him because he kinda had a gun against my head, so.." I sighed, probably underestimating the issue.

He let out a deep sigh, shaking his head. "Still not okay for him to do that." Draco said. I knew how he felt about all this, but for me it wasn't something new. The only thing that terrified me was the idea of Draco being killed by Leo.

"Let's go downstairs. I'll help you take care of your injuries." I said, leaving my room while he followed me. Once downstairs, it suprised me to see Lydia sitting on Ezra's lap, sobbing softly into his neck. It kind of warmed my heart to see Ezra show emotion. We locked eyes, but I looked away.

"Draco.." Enzo said worriedly, scanning him head to toe to look for injuries. "I'm fine, Enz. Really.." Draco said underneath his breath, while Enzo immediately took a healing kit out of the left cabinet. "I can do it." I said softly, taking it from him.

I pulled out a chair for Draco that he sat down on, a few feet away from Lydia and Ezra. "Theo, Blaise. Can you go to Y/N's room and put the protective enchantments back on? And please make the room upstairs at the end of the hall ready for Lydia." Enzo said once the two walked past the kitchen.

I sat down next to Draco, opening the kit. He had a cut on his cheekbone, along with some red spots that'd turn into bruises. "Do you think that the enchantments will keep him out?" I asked Draco, pouring some rubbing alcohol onto a cotton ball.

"If he's smart he'll stay away. I won't leave you alone again, I promise." Draco said, gritting his teeth in pain when I gently cleaned his face. "You shouldn't risk your life like that for me." I said quietly, placing the cotton ball down on the table, taking the bruise cream out of the box.

"If I had to do it again I'd make the exact same choice. Your life is everything to me." Draco said, staring into my eyes while I massaged the purple cream onto his cheekbone. "My life is nothing if you're dead because of me." I said.

Draco grabbed onto my injured hand, holding it between his hands. I wondered what he was doing, until the pain vanished and he removed his hands. My hand looked and felt normal again. I opened my mouth to speak, but closed it again in shock when he brushed his thumb over the cut on my cheek. It also vanished like smoke, I could feel it tingling.

"Can't you do that on yourself too?" I asked, completely amazed by his healing properties. "No, I can't. I can heal everyone but myself." He said, wiping my hair carefully out of my face.

"Do you— erhm.." I cleared my throat. "Do you have any other injuries that I need to take care of?"

"Mm, I think so." He said, suddenly getting up from the chair, grabbing the bruise cream and my hand. "Come, it's late, sweetheart." He was right. It was almost three am at this point. A lazy day tomorrow would help to recover from all of this.
