NOTE: You know the drill.

You went towards them, vying for their attention. You walked until they were on the other side of the road from you. You crossed, preparing to sneakily make an entrance. A cart wheeled by quickly, making you lose your balance. You cried out, nearly landing on your back when someone caught you.
Camilo.
Adella really should've been the one to do this. She was much more smooth.
Camilo had you in a dip position as he caught you. Making Mirabel snicker. You made an effort to stare in his eyes. Camilo stared at you with a numb expression. You stood up, grabbing the back of your neck.
" Thanks." You told him.
" Anytime." He answered. You needed this conversation to go further. So you said,
" So... What's your name?" You already knew his name, Gloriosa had coached you and your friends all about the Madrigal family tree.
Camilo gave you a confused look. He exchanged a side glance with Mirabel, who was also confused.
" You don't know who we are?" Camilo asked you.
" N-no.. should i?" You lied. Mirabel looked at you with surprised eyes and Camilo's jaw dropped. Mirabel looked at Camilo looking at you with his jaw wide open and shut it, nudging his shoulder. He snapped out of the daze, coughing and clearing his throat.
" I'm Camilo. Camilo Madrigal. This is my cousin, Mirabel." He said as he nodded to his cousin. Who gave you a small wave and a smile. This was way too easy. They really seemed genuinely friendly, which you weren't used to. But Gloriosa had told you they'd be like this. So you smirked and acted so well you might as well be in a play.
" Y/n. No last name, just y/n." You said as you flipped your hair.
" Why no last name?" Mirabel asked you.
" Never knew my parents. I'm an orphan." You clarified. Camilo and Mirabel's eyes widened and dropped their gaze.
" Oh, well. We've never had an orphan around here." Mirabel said as she gave you a look of pity.
" Yeah... Madrigal," You said changing the subject.
" I've heard stories about the Madrigals, they say your family has powers?" Camilo's eyes gave a smug look, remembering he had something that he could impress this newbie with. Mirabel smiled as she said," Gifts. We call them gifts. But yes."
" Prove it." You said. Camilo smirked and shifted into an exact copy of you. He crossed his arms as you gasped. You had known his gift was shapeshifting, but it was much weirder to see it in person.
" Freaky... But cool." You said as you placed a hand on your hip. Camilo smiled as he uncrossed his arms. Mirabel nudged Camilo with her shoulder.
" Yeah, he's a show off." She joked. You laughed.
" Yeah, but it's nothing compared to those awesome dance moves. You and those other kids were awesome!" Camilo said. Mirabel fixed her glasses which were sliding down her nose, her eyes realizing something.
" W-We should probably be going Primo." She said as she remembered that Julieta and Agustin had told her to not make friends with the strange teens. She started pulling Camilo away, wanting to head home. You knew that she was wanting to leave, but she couldn't yet. If your greeting ended there you would most likely be classified as an acquaintance and not a friend. You needed to be closer to their family.
