Karma peered in on Jenna from the Lupine Realm, and found her crying on her bed. She frowned, wondering if she should reach out to the girl or watch longer.

"She's okay, just crying right now on her bed...What do you think?" She mindlinked to Christina. "Wait, someone's coming in" she added, focusing back on the scene before her.

The sound of a door unlocking was what caught Karma's attention, and she immediately grew concerned that Jenna had been locked up. A man walked into the room, he was tall and muscular. He exuded an aura of power, but Karma could tell he wasn't of Alpha blood. He locked the door again before looking at Jenna, and Karma was surprised to see he looked sad.

"I got permission to check in on you...Your sister is worried sick, and while I know Alpha wouldn't hurt you...I just...I wanted to make sure you were okay" he said with a sigh. "She said she heard that you're not eating, and Alpha even said you were planning to run away?" He asked, almost as if he didn't believe it.

Jenna sat up from the bed after hearing him mention her sister. She wiped her tears and rolled over so her legs dangled over the edge of the bed and she could make eye contact with her visitor.

"I wasn't running away...I was escaping the stress here so I could safely have my baby" she said, looking down and rubbing her belly affectionately. "I didn't tell him I'd never come back, just that...I'm so unhappy here, and I can't handle the way he treats me anymore" she continued, breaking down into tears again.

The man frowned, clenching his fists angrily. "I'm so sorry, Luna...He's not being reasonable. I tried talking to him, but he doesn't care what I have to say" he sighed, "even if I'm his Beta, he just...Thinks I'm biased because it was my mate that you saved."

Jenna nodded, unable to stop her tears but she understood what the man was saying.

"Still...Would you really go? Lilly would be heartbroken to see you leave, she's so excited to see her nephew...And the pack...They need their Luna..." he said, but his voice fell flat on the last part. He'd witnessed how the pack was treating their Luna as time went on, and it angered him.

He gave her a few minutes to calm down enough so she could reply. Eventually, she spoke in a quiet voice, broken by sniffles. "Lilly could come with me...But I didn't want to ask her to leave you, and I knew you could never leave the pack...They need their Beta. They don't need me, though...They need my womb, and once my baby is born...I'm not sure what will happen...And I'm scared, Jamie" she admitted sadly.

Jamie ran his hands back through his hair, realizing what she was talking about. He didn't know what to say. He wanted to assure her that his best friend, her mate, wouldn't hurt her; but, he knew better than most the emotional torture she'd been subjected to this past year. He just shook his head, at a loss for words.

"The scumbag locked her up so she wouldn't leave" Alessia sneered.

"Mhmm...And looks like even the Beta isn't confident his Luna will be safe once the baby is born" Karma replied with a growl.

"I think this Alpha could use a visit from us..." Alessia said, snickering evilly.

Karma grinned at that, and mindlinked her mother to update her. "The Alpha found out she wanted to leave to have the baby somewhere else. He locked her up" she explained.

"Bastard" was her mother's annoyed reply. "I'm not surprised though, Alphas are very possessive. He doesn't want his mate or his baby anywhere but where he can keep an eye on them."

"Well, I think this Alpha needs a stern talking to" Karma told her mother.

"I agree. And I think our Alpha would too. Maybe she'd even open a portal for her best warrior to go chat with the Alpha" Christina said, a smirk in her tone.
