"They're your family, poindexter," Stanley told his brother, "Shermie's grandkids."
He smiled. "I have a niece and nephew?" Ford introduced himself to Mabel while you planned what you were going to say to him.
As a fellow time-outlaw, you knew he clearly wasn't going to trust a cop, so it was Dipper's trust you were going to have to break here. Besides, proving yourself to be time officer would be a lot harder in front of someone who's dealt with them. Your best bet was to come clean as being a criminal then.
"I-I can't believe it," Dipper stammered, "You're the author of the journals!"
"You've read my journals," Stanford asked him.
Dipper rambled on, nearly throwing up, before the old man took notice of you. He looked between you and the kids, and stated, "Listen, there will be time for introductions later, but first, tell me, Stan. Are there any security breaches? Does anyone else know about this portal?"
"No, just us," said Stanley. "Also maybe the entire U.S. government."
His brother shouted, "THE WHAT!?!"
They all looked over at the security feed as Agent Powers told his team to fan out and search.
You sat back on a pile of rubble to watch everything go down. Luckily, you had also been able to find one of your chip bags that must've blown through the door when it was open. Score!
Stanford told everyone they had a while before anyone would find you all, and Mabel insisted on hearing the twin's backstory. (You got a little excited for the next part, eating your chips a little loud.)
"Yes, I have some questions about all this myself, Stanley."
"Stanley?"
"But, your name is Stanford."
"Wait," Ford yelled, "you took my name! What have you been doing all these years, ya' knucklehead!"
*CRONCH*
Everyone looked at you.
Fuck.
Dipper started to speak, "Uh... this is (y/n). They're... a time cop."
"A what," shouted Ford, with his hand in his coat, probably reaching for a gun.
"Wait," said Mabel, "I thought (y/n) was an oracle or something."
"A cop," said Stan, "I thought you were some sci-fi criminal!"
Soos spoke up, nervously, "Uh... Am I the only one who thought they were just some regular dude?"
Oh shit! Things weren't unraveling quite as expected. "It's okay," you thought. "Just figure something out, you can do this. I've done way harder things just tonight. This'll be a piece of cake... right?"
"I can explain," you said.
"I should hope so," said Stanford, very slowly pulling his hand from his coat. "You and Stanley!"
"Yeah," said Dipper, looking between you and Stan, "and no more lies! Who are you really, (y/n). What's up with this portal? Why did you keep this a secret?"
Mabel turned to her grunkle. "What happened between you and your brother that was so bad?"
"I hope all of this aligns exactly with my fanfics, Stan," said Soos, "if not, I will be very disappointed."
