Roland Orzabal de la Quintana is a British 60-year-old former University student. He was formerly part of the 1980s Zodiac heroes. His spirit form is a red and yellow dragon.
Appearance
Roland is an elderly man with long grey hair and beard, green-brown eyes and pale skin. His casual wear consists of a black dress shirt, black pants and brown shoes. He stands on 5'8 and is of average build. In his spiritual state, his eyes glow white. His spirit form is a red and yellow dragon.
History
Early Life
Roland was born as Raoul on the 22nd of August 1961 in the UK. At 2 weeks old, his name was anglicised into Roland so that it would be easier for English people to pronounce. When he was 7, his parents split because his father was being abusive. At the age of 13, he met Curt and bonded over their similar upbringings.
1980s Era (Jerry's Era, later Roland and Curt's Era)
In 1981, Roland and Curt along with some other secondary school and 1st Year students joined Jerry's team of Zodiac heroes. Jerry also assigned Roland and Curt to become the Zodiac leaders as soon as they joined. Roland recalled Curt almost being drowned and digested while the team was visiting Bath in 1981. This caused him to be in a coma for quite some time until he recovered. Roland was the only half-blood in the team. Roland had dated Curt, however, their current relationship is unknown, either they're still romantically dating or they're just friends. The Zodiac heroes continued working together after graduation until 1989 when all of the American team members and Curt decided to go to America.
Volume 7 (Zach's era, post-storm era)
The current Zodiac heroes met Roland and Curt in Bath when their train to Wales was hijacked. Later, Curt defeated Dream and Andrew by using his powers and throwing them into the Great Bath. Which is considered acidic to Dark Spirits. After that, the team are on their way to Wales when they bumped into Kate.
When the team arrived at Wales, they bumped into some other 80s Zodiac heroes who were seeking the healer, known as Tom. After their appointment with the healer, the woke up at the side of a castle. Then, they went to Aimee's inherited house where they had a battle with a corroded Andrew. Curt injured his ribs in the battle after defeating Andrew so the Zodiac heroes went back to Cambridge and were suspended from missions for a month.
Personality
Roland is a smart and kind individual despite his upbringing. He is also caring and protective, especially towards his teammate, Curt. He also tends to be more reserved unlike Curt who is more rebellious.
