anna kingsley was most popular among teachers for her academic royalty & quite brilliant mind. she was a strong witted & excellent ravenclaw — head girl of sixth year, TA for care of magical creatures, & tutor on friday evenings.
sirius black was safe to say the complete opposite. he lacked effort in all of his work not because he was dim-witted, rather as a way to mess with his parents.
the two had known one another since the first day of year one. when sirius' accidentally dropped all of his bertie bott's all over the train — specifically infront of the cart where anna was reading one of her three novels for the five hour train ride. ever since that moment five years ago, the two spent their times bickering. mostly sirius trying to get anna to live a little, while all he succeeded in was getting under her skin.
when the two are paired together in defense against the dark arts, their limits are tested as they are to spend four hours a week sat eight inches apart.

ooo. anna is an intern for the daily prophet & must cover the quidditch games which sirius is obviously playing in. a while into the book, at a game (after a win) he starts to sing to her (10 things i hate about you vibes). she gets so annoyed with him but is secretly flattered.
ooo. although she's sixteen, she's never had her first kiss (which is 100% okay) & it's only because she's never had an interest in any boys. a hufflepuff boy asked her out once in fourth year & she simply never had time/wanted to. she's too focused on her goals to care (as she should). so her first kiss will have to be with sirius. but she freaks out & he doesn't understand why. but ofc he's super sweet about it when he finds out why.
ooo. i can see her having a little sister like around the age six or so. she's very good with kids which sirius is also, which shocks her immediately.
ooo. in datda sirius leans back in his chair and copies off anna's notes while she sits & has a very immersive experience. she loves classes.
ooo. she's very quick witted & makes sirius seem stupid everytime they talk — which he doesn't even mind. he thinks she's way too uptight & she thinks he's way too "go with the flow."
ooo. definitely a slowburn but a happy ending.
ooo. lily & anna are actually good friends & study together a lot.
ooo. sirius heavily attempts for anna & him to become friends which she denies always. as they're working on a big project as partners, he finally makes them have small talk so they can work together. (he promises to work if she answers a few questions about herself). and when she asks back — about his family, he quickly changes the subject which only intrigues her. he always tries to keep her away from his family and from anyone finding out.
ooo. he practically begs her from the beginning to go to his quidditch games. he always shows off.
ooo. she definitely has daddy issues. & a very unapproving grandmother.
ooo. a simple fic following a funny & carefree lad falling for a career oriented sweater wearing sweetheart who couldn't give two shits about him. throughout their six ( & 7th? ) year at hogwarts.
