THE SUN WAS up in the blue sky, no white clouds adding to the bright yellow star high up above the civilians of all the planets to decorate the blue color of the sky that was seen every single day of almost every single planet in the galaxy. Hours had gone by since the sandstorm on the planet Tatooine, the citizens of the planet all now back out as only a day had passed since the sandstorm and they were going back to their normal things, cleaning and dusting off all the sand that had gotten onto their shops and stands like they did every time a sandstorm came to their planet.

Luckily, the Toydarian, now known to the group as Watto, had agreed to let Anakin join the Podrace when Qui-Gon convinced him. At the moment, the group found themselves in a large garage where many other racers could be seen getting themselves ready. One of Anakin's friends, which Y/n learned his name was Kitster, was with them, along with Anakin's mother. The day before, they had tried the pod that Anakin had been making for so long, and fortunately, it had turned on and worked liked they hoped.

"This is so wizard, Ani. I'm sure you'll do it this time." Kitster speaks up, looking at his friend.

Y/n furrows her brows, looking between the boys. "Do what?"

"Finish the race, of course." Kitster replies as it were obvious.

Padme tenses at his word's, looking to Anakin. "You've never won a race?"

Anakin scrunches up his face, shrugging. "Well, not exactly."

"Not even finished?" Padme continues, her voice raising a bit.

"Kitster's right. I will this time." Anakin assures, looking at Y/n when he said this.

Qui-Gon walks up, placing his hands on the boy's shoulders. "Of course you will."

As he said that, he looked up at Padme with a look as if to say to trust him on this race, even if the fourteen year old was convinced Anakin wouldn't win the race after she learned he had never won a race before. Eventually, they all found themselves outside of the garage structure as all the racers stood near their pods, getting ready for the race as the announcers voices echoed throughout the stadium while they announced the racers, the cheers of all the civilians being heard when their names were called.

The racers helpers could be seen finishing up with the pods before the race. Y/n trailed behind Qui-Gon as the Jedi soon lifted Anakin up from his armpits, placing him inside the pod, giving him some words to keep in his mind. Rushing up when he finished, Y/n placed her hands on the side of the pod as Anakin's eyes met her, his gaze brightening when he saw her.

"Good luck, Ani. I believe in you." Y/n tells him.

Anakin's smile brightened at her words as he watched her leave with Qui-Gon and back to where Padme, Shmi and Jar Jar were at a stand that they'd watch the race on. It wasn't long until they were announcing the race to begin, to which all the pods revved up, the racers all inside as their helpers were quick to rush off and away from the racetrack before the race could fully start. The people holding the flags continued to the side in front of the pods as they passed the racers. Hopping up onto the stand with Qui-Gon, Y/n placed her hand in Padme's when she noticed her sister had a clenched jaw, her eyes narrowed on the only Jedi of them at the moment.
