"What?" I ask confused.

"What do you want to do?" he repeats.

"What makes you think that I would want to do anything with you?"

"Well, the way I see it is that I'm your new-found friend," he says. "And you see, this new-found friend just happens to be in possession of your beloved phone."

"Clever," I tell him.

"Oh, I know," he says triumphantly as he stands up.

I then stand up with him, "Where are you going?"

"You mean where are we going?" he corrects.

"Fine. Where are we going?"

"You'll just have to find out," he says as he starts moving toward the school parking lot.

"Zach!" I yell at him as he walks away.

He turns around and starts to walk back words, "You know, I love how it sounds when you say my name."

"Hey!" I shout louder.

"Better hurry up," he says, getting farther with every step and every second that goes by.

I start walking then. My walk soon turns into a run. Then in a few moments I am near Zach and I am struggling to catch my breath.

"What's your deal?" I ask.

"How about we go do something and then I'll tell you," he says.

"Why can't you just tell me before we do something?"

"Because I have your phone,"

"You can't say that to make me do anything you want,"

"I know, but I can make you do a certain amount of things," he says as he grins at me while we reach his car.

He then makes a gesture at the passengers' seat inside of the car. Suddenly, as if agreeing, I open his car door and I hop in. I situate myself in the seat until I am comfortable. A few seconds after I get in Zach does the same. He starts the car and we drive out of the parking lot and onto the main streets.

"Will you tell me where we are going?" I ask.

"What's the magic word?" he asks stupidly as he smiles widely at me.

"Please," I say as I smile back.

"Wrong!" he says sounding serious now. "It was cheese."

"Wow, it rhymes." I say sarcastically. "Bet it was hard to come up with that."

He laughs at this. I laugh, too, after a few moments of him laughing.

"But, really, where are we going?" I ask more concerned this time.

"The mall," he says as he takes a turns the corner to reveal the part of town that holds the mall and stores.

"The mall?" I ask weirdly. "Why?"

"Because we have a party, and I want you to look nice for your 'crush'." he says, making finger quotations with one of his hands as the other one stays on the wheel.

"I don't have money," I point out.

"I know," he says as he finally pulls into the parking lot.

He then parks the car and it comes to a sudden stop resulting in them swaying forward a bit. We both unbuckle our seat belts. Then I open the doors to get out of the car. I then study his car for a minute while he fiddles with his keys.
