Lost Souls

You've been wandering, my dear...
I've seen your kind before.
Those I try my best to ignore...
The factionless.
They've travelled the world;
used the universe as a  harness
to pull them into their desired reality...
I guess they know not of the powers of gravity.
This is space...
but without the complex principles.
We're all floating uncontrollably,
deeper into the darkness...
There's no pulling us down:
Down to the caved in structures of our bedrooms,
no music in the agony stricken stereo,
no coffee strong enough to get you through this,
no writings on the blue wall,
no water to save us by drowning our sorrows...
And just like in space,
there's no one coming for us.
There's no saving us.
So, yes.
I've seen you before...
Your reflection resembles one I've seen in my mirror.
I have seen those dried out lips,
the contours under those bloody eyes
 and
the look of uncertainty that you wear so effortlessly...
How noble of you to carry the world's weight on your back.
How brave of you to stand tall,
even after hearing the snap in your neck...
I've seen you before...
In all the places we've deemed sacred...
I've seen you in rooms where deities
come into existence for the wicked,
I've seen you amongst all the lost souls.
