Greta Clayton was in the middle of her fourth year at Hogwarts. As a first year, she didn't like the idea of casting spells and flying on brooms, but she had later discovered that being a witch wasn't so bad after all (well, except for the flying part). She loved the spells and the magical animals and going to Hogsmeade, just like any other student at Hogwarts would. In fact, she preferred not to stand out in the crowd. However, that wasn't exactly easy because she was close friends with the infamous Harry Potter. She had been friends with him, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley ever since she had gotten sorted into Gryffindor, and they had all remained inseparable ever since.Currently, Greta sat by herself in the courtyard, waiting for her friends. As she was waiting, however, three different students approached her; Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle. These three loved to pick on Greta, which she was used to by now.
"Hey, Clayton," Malfoy sneered. "Whatcha doing? Waiting for those annoying friends of yours?"
"Actually, I am," Greta said. "However, I don't ever remember them as annoying, Malfoy."
"Is that so?" Malfoy smirked. "Because that's all I ever see out of them."
"You just have no taste in friends," Greta snapped. "Leave me and my friends alone." She crossed her arms.
"Whatever you say, you filthy half-blood," Malfoy scoffed. However, as soon as he turned around to leave, he slowly crept towards Greta until his nose was in her face. "By the way, have you ever thought of removing that zit? It's very distracting."
Greta's face burned red. "B-back off, Malfoy," she stuttered.
"See you later then," Malfoy grinned as he strutted away with Crabbe and Goyle. Not too soon after, Harry, Hermione, and Ron ran towards Greta, a worried expression on their faces.
"Are you alright?" Hermione asked. "We saw Draco talking to you."
"I'm fine," Greta assured, waving her hand up and down. "He was just teasing me as usual."
"It's not ok for him to be doing that," Harry protested. "He sees you as someone he can bully. To us at least, it's not something that you can just brush off."
"I promise this is nothing to get worked up about."
"Why are you covering your cheek like that?" Hermione asked.
"Huh?" Greta hadn't even noticed that she was rubbing her zit nervously. "That's nothing."
Hermione moved Greta's hand away from her face.
"Oh, did Draco embarrass you?" Hermione said softly.
"Maybe," Greta mumbled.
"You don't need to listen to anything that Draco says. We're right here for you "
Greta surrendered. "Fine. You win, guys."
Suddenly, Ron butted in and said, "We'll be late for class. C'mon!"
Time Skip
When they had arrived at DADA, Greta sat next to Hermione and placed her textbooks on the desk.
A few minutes afterwards, Professor Moody stomped in and said, "Put away your books. You won't need 'em!"
Everyone obeyed.
"I've just finished reading a letter from Lupin. It informed me on everything that you've covered. However, you're behind on learning curses," Moody began. "Weasley, name an Unforgivable Curse!"
Ron named the Imperious Curse and Professor Moody released a whip spider from a jar. Greta started to breathe heavily and tremble a bit. She noticed that Ron recoiled. They both hated spiders, although, any other insect would've frightened Greta as well.
