Prologue

Akiza POV

I had just broken up with Yusei. I was in more pain than ever, but on my way to my apartment when I came across a child who was crying and bleeding badly. "Oh my goodness! Are you alright?!" I asked worriedly as I ran to his side, he didn't say anything, he only cried.

I took the boy home with me since it started pouring rain, "So what's your name sweetie?" I asked as I bandaged his wounds, "(y/n)." he said softly, "Well (y/n) my name is Akiza, can you tell me where your parents are?" I asked, "Parents?" he said curiously, "I see, well you're more than welcome to stay here with me." I said sweetly.

(y/n)'s been with me for over a month, I'm going through the process of adopting him. He's such a sweetheart, he's started calling me mommy and mama. God my heart melts every time he calls me mama. "Bad." (y/n) said as he looked outside, suddenly there was a massive explosion.

I ran to the origin of the explosion and found a massive dragon.

"Mama!" (y/n) shouted as he pushed me out of the way of the dragon's next attack, "(Y/N)!" I cried as flames swallowed my baby, suddenly a strange mark glowed from within the flames forcing them to dissipate revealing my son was alright, but that mark appeared on his arm.

My son's eyes had turned a dull gold and an ominous aura surrounded him. "So you're the one. I'll destroy you and take your mark for my own!" A girl said as the smoke cleared that had been obscuring her.

"Prepare to be destroyed." she said as a duel disk appeared on my son's arm, but it failed to properly activate the full field so he would be at a disadvantage.

"I play Ra's Disciple! He brings out two more disciples! Next, I play double summon! I'll tribute my disciples to bring forth a creature feared by all who dare stand before him in defiance!" (y/n) said coldly as his mark began to glow, "RISE AND LAY WASTE TO YOU ENEMIES! DESTROY THE FOOLISH WHO CLING TO THEIR FLEETING HOPE! COME FORTH EVIL GOD DREAKROOT!" he shouted coldly as his monster began to manifest.

"Devourer her, Dreadroot." he said coldly as his creature destroyed the dragon before crushing the girl. Once the girl was gone (y/n)'s eyes returned to normal and his duel disk, deck, and monsters vanished. "M-Mama." he said weakly, "It's alright! I've got you, just get some rest sweetie, Mama's got you. I've got you." I said as I caught him and comforted him. He passed out in my arms, I could hear Sector Security coming so I got on my duel runner and drove off. 'I won't let anything happen to you! I won't let anyone take my baby!' I thought.

"Mama?" (y/n) said groggily, "Hi sweetie, did you have a nice nap?" I asked, "Yeah." He said softly, "I'm glad. I'm going to get started on dinner, why don't you play until dinner's ready." I said sweetly.

I was cooking and occasionally looking back to check on (y/n), suddenly someone burst into my apartment! "AKIZA!" Yusei shouted, "MAMA!" (y/n) cried as he ran to me, "Shh, it's alright. Yusei! What are you doing here?!" I asked, "I heard about the explosions nearby and I came to check on you. Are you babysitting or something?" Yusei asked, "No this is (y/n). In less than a month he'll be my son." I said, "I'm glad you're happy, Akiza. But are you sure this is what you want? It's a massive step especially now that you're single." He said, "Yusei, you might not be ready for children, but I am. That is why we broke up." I said, "You'll be a great mom Akiza. I know you will." He said, "Thank you. Would you like to stay for dinner? As per usual I made way too much food." I said.

It was nice, the three of us having dinner together. It almost felt like we were a family. I felt happy.
