"Lost"
Chapter 2

The creature seems to be so fast that it jumped over our back and fell to the ground in front of us.

There's no way to escape!

Its mouth opened widely. It extent its arms and as what I have expected, a sharp blade started to appear.

"It's the end" The girl I am with said with calmness.

Maybe she's right. It's the end. I only live my life this short.

"Get down!" Someone shouted.

"Who was that?!" I screamed.

"I said get down!! Now!" Someone shouted again. This time it's clear to know that it has to be a man's voice

Thinking we have no other choice, we quickly get ourselves on the ground.

A loud gunshot was heard!

We didn't see what happened. Still our eyes we're headed on the ground.

For the second time we heard it again!

Everything went unpredictable so we just followed what was the man's order.

"You're clear! You can stand now!" The man insisted.

Now I can see the corpse of the creature lying on the ground with its head blown covered with blood

"What was that?!" She asked.

"You're safe for now."

Thinking who might that man be I turn around.

I was surprised.

Now I have just remembered something.

The man who helped us is my father's old friend. His name is Tyler.

"Oh boy! You're also here?!" Tyler asked.

"Hey! It seems so. I don't understand. Why are we here? What on earth are we doing here?! How long have you been here?! This is absurd!" I exclaimed.

"We'll talk about it tomorrow Matt." He response.

"You know each other?" She asked.

"Yes. I'm Tyler. His father is an old friend of mine. Am I right Matt?" Tyler asked.

"Oh come on. This is not the time for this nonsense conversation. We need to leave here now before another creature comes here!" I replied.

"Matt Is your name?" She asked.

"Uh-yes." I replied.

"Wait, you do not know each other yet?" Tyler asked.

"Actually, yes?" She replied.

"Oh? But I saw you back there, you we're together?" Tyler asked again.

"Yes for some reason. Anyway. I'm Athena." She said.

"Stop with this nonsense ok? Hey Tyler. Do you know a place where we can hide for now?" I asked.

"Uh. I know a place. I have my fellowmen there. You're not alone. Follow me." He replied.

"Okay then, let's get ourselves a shelter" Athena exclaimed.

We followed Tyler and during that time Athena and him got to know each other a little bit.

We walked for about an hour and gratefully, we arrived in a building guarded by several men on top of it, with tents, and people inside the compound.

There we met few survivors. Some of them are traumatized while some are seems to be in a critical mental state.
