I grab my phone and shoot kaede a text

Katsumi: help I need help asap sos emergency red alert this is not a drill
Kaede: the fact that you're texting me means somethings really up what's wrong big bro
Katsumi: I have a date and I have no idea on how to prepare
Kaede: why are you asking me I don't know anything about dating
Katsumi: I don't know I'm nervous
Kaede: okay calm down I'll hand the phone to risa during lunch she might have something for ya
Katsumi: thanks lil sis I'll make you pancakes as payment when you get home

Kaede:yo kats maple told me you needed help on a date
Katsumi:yeah she wants to come to the gallows so I'm frickin out over here
Kaede: alright what am I dealing with here?
Katsumi:she likes to play with fire when it comes both to clothes and teasing
Kaede:ah right up your alley well when you get used to her anyway on level of comfortably what could she do to you?
Katsumi: I'd let her use my cup without batting a eye
Kaede:Coolio so just go out and sense it's your shop you won't have to pay when's the date
Katsumi: we planned it at 6 I have the least amount of customers at that moment
Kaede: alright I'll be there for support just in case something goes wrong
katsumi: thanks risa alright I'm heading off to work you have permission to use kelly to take you and kaede home just drop it off when you come over
Kaede: alright thanks kats see ya later

With that I get off my phone put on some music and walk across the street so I can get to gallows

"hey boss man." yuki greets me
"sup katsumi." Dante greets
maki just waved at me
"Hello my slaves I mean my coworkers how everything going today?" I greet them back
"good today was a slow day." Yuki responds
"maki did they have you doing all the work again?" I ask my favorite employee
"No." she answers silently
"Good." I give her a head pat
she hums
"Hey how come she gets affection while we get accused?" yuki questions
"Because you guys are deadbeats that if I could I'd fire you both." I say with a grin
"Aw he loves us."Dante jokes
"whatever kid anyway I have a date tonight so are any of you willing to run the store at 6?" I question everyone
"I'll do it." maki easily accepts
"Good don't let these guys slack off." I tell her
"won't." she says back
"Great I'll whip you up something when I'm done." I tell her
at that a warm smile forms on her face
"And with that settled I'll be in the back if you guys need me." I tell the group
They all nod and get back to work
as I'm going through papers I read the time
5:55 she'll be here soon
crap how would I recognize her
now I'm struggling keeping focus when I take another glance at the clock
I see a girl walk in and sit down at

'is that her?'
I walk up to the girl
"Any chance you're waiting for someone at 6?" I question the girl
"Yeah realize I didn't even know a thing about the man." she answers
"Yeah realized I didn't know a thing about you either the names katsumi." I tell her
"ah well the names Artemis." The now names Artemis introduced herself
"so I'll be completely honest this is my first date so care to do the conversation and I respond in kind?"
"Seems fair especially since I didn't give you a choice." Artemis agreed
"so any women I should be wary of?" she asks me
"Damn starting with the hard ones will to be honest no none of the women in my life are my age hell a lot of them are minors." I tell her
She raised and eyebrow at that
"Not like that I've been friends with those girls since I was 3 trust it ain't nothing like that I love those two like sisters." I explained
She nods accepting the answer
"So any men I gotta be wary of?" I ask her
"nah there's only my dad and all he'll do is threaten you." she answered
"Good to know." I accepted the answer
"you got a job?" She questions
"Yeah actually own the gallows." I tell her
Shock evident on her face
"prove it." she commands
"Yo Dante who own this little place here?" I ask the slacker
"Maki." He jokes
"and for that you get to clean the toilets you little shit." I tell Dante
"Aw come on boss man I was joking." he whines
"To bad." maki joins in
"So is that good enough for you?" I ask Artemis
"Yeah." she says still somewhat shocked
"so what about you got a job?" I ask her
"yeah  sparks industries CEO." she answers
"Oh Coolio." I accept easily
"hmm not shocked at the information nor did you start talking to me different." she responds as if that was weird
"Eh I know a lot of rich people most of them don't like being treated different because of there money." I tell her
"Ah well still it nice to not being treated like I just magically became a different person." She tells me
"Got siblings?" I ask her
"no." she answers
"What about you got siblings?" She asks me
"technically no but in my eyes I have 3." I tell her
"hobbies?" she asks me
"Listening to music reading books playing games messing with my bike." I tell her
"What about you hobbies?" I ask her
"people watching stargazing and reading."she answers
and with the conversation just went on for what felt like hours when I noticed the store was now empty and it was dark out
"Boss sorry to interrupt closing." maki told me
"sorry about that maki." I respond
"Got a way home Artemis?" I ask her
"Yeah only good thing about being rich I always have a ride." she responds
and with that we both make our way outside
"see ya arty." I tell her
"See ya sumi." she responds

End of chapter
I'm so sorry it took so long to update. but apparently if I made one chapter over 5,000 words it'd set a standard. so I was told to break it into parts so that way I'd still have the date along with the fights I have planned also did I do good a date? I'm not sure never been on one.
Also there we go Artemis is rich I honestly just randomly thought about it also the original plan was for katsumi to join maple but now I'm thinking I should have him form his own guild
they'll still be friends and will actively help each other if the other needs it but yeah that's the plan going forward
