SEPERATING LAUNDRY

Light from dark
Wrong from Right
Pen to paper
Or hands to keyboard
No matter how you edit
How you write
Right now
Your style matters, as much as your consistency
Whether its a letter to a friend
Or your will to live
We all must do the write thing....sometimes
We have our own process
For writing....sometimes the many different ways we process and develop writing
May inhibit us to go further
Or keep us on the right path
But what is that Write Path?

Writing,
Its like separating laundry
We write we draft we develop then we edit
Then we critique, revise our vision and edit some more
Like separating laundry,
We filter cliches and gerunds, like filtering through certain colors that don't mix in the clothing heap
Then we eliminate them...
What's not needed for our work ethics shouldn't be used right?
Then again it could be crucial
Like separating laundry
We separate the what-ifs from the have-beens
The live-withouts from the what's still necessaries
The contained from the confused
You get the idea right
Or do you?
Like separating laundry,
Somethings are limited like how much editing you need....or criticism for your writing
How much is too much detergent....
did you add bleach....
would it make a difference if you had white socks
With color
Probably yes
So what if you're a late bloomer
Or a early bird
Even novice writers need direction and structure too
But then sometimes, even that gets censored
What about The freedom to write,
depending on perspective,
what is the price we pay for such experimental habits
Habits only a writer should develop
Not for someone sorting clothes to put in a washing machine, you say?
I say its essential!
Even when you think separating laundry
Is not comparable to writing in whatever process or whatever style you chose
Whatever price you pay to be a writer
Trust me.....its writing ;)
