Almost
does it really matter if I'm
almost above average
almost getting a chance at life again
almost about to apply for my job benefits
almost likely to succeed
My goals aren't what they seem to be
and I don't have a clear sense at what goal I'm aiming at now
what I'll acquire if I accomplish said goal,
or at least if I even almost accomplish it
and what will become of me...
Will I even succeed, or "almost succeed"?
almost... I think I'm actually likely to almost fail
If I fail to choose
and if I almost make the right choice
what will I lose
listening to my ever-swiveling thoughts speak
from bad to almost above average
which thought will I put down
and which will almost end up from my head onto the pages
of the next story of my life
I almost do get the chance
I almost have made the right choices
but
is "almost" worth the price
of almost succeeding...at all?
