*1 week later*
-Michael's POV-
I brushed my hair, I wasn't really in a good mood but I was at the same time, today I get to see my son or daughter but he or she might not live, I put my flannel on and carried our baby's clothes, I packed the baby's clothes ,my charger , a pillow and blanket for Callie for when she gets done giving birth to our child. I walked out of our room and Callie was sitting on the couch rubbing her stomach,"please let my child live, if you have to take me please take me just not my child..." she said with her eyes closed, she had her head laid back on the couch.
I walked back in our room for my phone, I came out and Luke walked out going to the kitchen,"you guys ready?" Callie asked getting off the couch, I hugged her,"I'm ready..." I said softly pecking her lips,"i love you baby" I said holding her close, she hugged me close,"i love you too".
We all got in the car and headed to the hospital, Callie and I sat in the back together, I rubbed her stomach all the way there, Callie seemed pretty tired, I don't know what time she went to sleep but we were cuddled together. We got to the hospital and signed in, we sat in the waiting room, I held Callie's hand and Luke stayed on his phone. I laid my head over on Callie until I heard her name being called by a nurse, we all got up and walked towards the nurse,"I'm sorry but only Callie is aloud back, we will call you guys when she is done" the nurse smiled, I pecked Callie's lips,"i love you baby" I said hugging her,"i love you" she said pecking my lips again , I walked back with Luke and I sat.
Luke didn't sit," want some Starbucks?" He asked sliding his phone in his pocket,"yeah" I said leaning my head back,"okay, I'll be back" Luke said walking away. I waited patiently for an hour praying everything is okay, I pulled my phone out and saw Callie and I at the park as my background, I smiled and looked over at Luke, he put his hand on my arm,"the nurse is back.." he said pointing over to the doors, we got up and the nurse watched us walk up,"she gave birth, the baby is okay and is being taken care of" the nurse said looking at us, I smiled,"can I see Callie?" I asked the nurse, she looked up at me and tucked her hands in her pockets,"I'm sorry but you can't right now...Callie passed during delivery..." the nurse said, I read her lips and heard the words she said.
"She what?" I asked loudly confused, I looked over at Luke who's mouth was wide open,"I'm so sorry for your loss, Callie passed during delivery.." the nurse said handing me Callie's necklace and earrings, I looked down at her necklace and earrings and gripped them in my hand, I looked over at Luke and he was crying, I started to cry holding her jewelry, it didn't feel like she was gone but I couldn't believe she died...
"You can come look at your baby" the nurse said smiling slightly at me, I looked at Luke and he wiped his face following me back, I slid Callie's jewelry in my pocket and wiped my face, pulling my jacket forward, we walked in a room and I looked and saw a tiny baby in this thing, I walked closer and saw a little pink beanie on the baby,"is it a girl..?" I asked looking at the nurse,"congratulations" she smiled, I smiled and breathed out crying hard,"a girl..." I smiled crying into my sleeve, I walked closer and looked into the thing watching her squirm slightly.
"She's precious.." I said, I was admiring the little baby, knowing she's mine,"what would you like to name her?" The nurse asked, I froze and didn't know what to say,"its okay if you need time.." the nurse said looking at me,"could I have some time please?" I asked not knowing what to call her,"of course, I'll leave you in here, you can reach your hands through here, these are gloves that makes you able to touch your baby, I'll be back shortly" the nurse smiled leaving and closing the door behind her.
"What are you going to call her..?" Luke asked crying softly behind me,"I don't know...i want to name her something after Callie..do you think thats a good idea?" I asked Luke, he smiled and nodded,"i was thinking the same thing.." he smiled walking closer to me, he watched the little girl and smiled,"shes so cute.." he said looking down at her, I smiled and started thinking of names,"what was Callie's middle name?" I asked Luke, he looked at me and smiled,"she had the most beautiful name, her full name was Calliope Reese Smith".
I awed at her name, I wiped my tears and remembered her mixing our name calling us Mallie,"what if we called her Mallie Reese Clifford?" I asked, I saw Luke's eyes light up,"i love that.." he smiled, I smiled and looked down at her,"hey Mallie...mommy did a good job making you.." I chuckled slightly still crying, I crouched a little and stuck my hand in the glove, I wiggled my finger on Mallie's hand, she opened her hand and squeezed my finger slightly, I smiled watching her,"daddy's here baby, I'm not gonna leave you..." I said watching her.
I smiled looking at her, I heard the door open and it was the nurse,"did you come up with a name?" She asked, I looked up at her,"yes I did.. Mallie Reese Clifford will be her full name" I said, I spelt her name and looked back down at Mallie,"thats such a cute name.." she smiled walking out, I smiled and stood up taking my hand out of the thing,"i love you sweetheart" I smiled down at Mallie, I looked back at Luke and he smiled," I can't wait u till I can't hold her" I said looking back at her,"i can't wait to hold her either.." Luke smiled.
I kept thinking about Callie,"I guess it's just me and you now..." I said softly,"yeah I guess so.." he said softly looking at me, he kept his hands in his pockets,"i can't believe she's gone.." I said tearing up again, I hide my face into my arm and Luke started to cry,"its okay, just stay strong" Luke said hugging me, I hugged him tightly, I pulled away and our faces stayed close, Luke looked down at my lips and back up at my eyes, I watched him as he came close and we locked lips with one another.
