Autumn-

I could mope around all day, or, or I could go out there and get over Ryder!

Pulling up the gravel driveway I knew exactly where I was going and what I was going to do.

Was this dangerous? Yes. Was this idiotic and completely insane? totally. Did i care? Not at all!

Knocking on the door I was glad it was Wyatt who opened the door.

Before he could question anything I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and brought his lips to mine.

It didn't take long before our lips were In sync, challenging each other with every breath we took.

I pulled away just as things became heated.

"What was that for?" he asked with a smirk.

"How would you feel about getting revenge on Ryder?" I asked him with my own devious smirk.

"Hot and vicious, I think your my soulmate." He smirked.

I tilted my head up and to the side a little thinking about that, "hmmm, we'll use that."

****

Ryder-

I ran up and down the pitch kicking the soccer ball, pretending I knew what I was doing.

I stopped when I caught eye of two people in the distance.

They were practically fucking against the back wall.

My eyes widened as I caught sight of her.

If I still had the title of her boyfriend I would've ripped that guys head off, but I wasn't, I was powerless, I had no right to...

So I just stood there helplessly a fiery sensation burning through me.

Who the fuck was that mother fucker touching her like that!

I think they caught me staring because he dropped her back to her feet and they both headed my way, Wyatt's smug face filled my vision, her ass in his hand.

I clenched my teeth as he pushed past me smiling knowingly.

Well, it didn't take her long to move on!

But out of all the guys out there, it had to be him

The guy who knocked me out! the brother to the reason I broke up with her in the first place!

***

Knocking on her door i had my fists clenched at my sides.

I didn't know if she would even open the door or not, but she needed to know.

The moment the door opened it was like i had a mind blank, everything i had rehearsed over in my head wiped from memory, i hated how she did that to me.

Once she caught sight of me the door was swinging back in my face.

I sighed, of course.

Knocking again an irritated voice hissed from the other side of the door, "piss off Ryder!"

I melted by the bare sound of her voice, i don't know why or how, but now that she wasn't mine, i craved for her attention and love even more than before.

"Autumn, just hear me out!" I banged my fist against the door.

When it went dead silent on the other side of the door i pressed my head against it, looking at the ground.

"Autumn, please!" i begged.

"What are you doing?!" A deep voice shouted from behind me.

I spun around looking at no other than Wyatt, how could she be so blind as to like this tool!

"Im here to tell her who you truly are." i spat jumping from the porch so we were face to face.

"Why? think that'll make a difference? She's over you Ryder, move on!" he shoved me backwards.

"Like you know anything about moving on!" I shoved him back in return.

"You cheated on my sister!" he growled landing one on me.

I was about to fight back when i decided his anger issues could work in my favor.

I let his hard punch bring me to the dirt ground.

"Its not my fault she's a suicidal maniac!" i spat onto the dirt ground.

I didn't get to see the look on his face as his kick to my stomach had me curling into a ball, clutching at my winded stomach.

Wyatt's left hand grabbed the collar of my shirt before his right hand moved back and forth in a continuous punching motion.

Every hit was another brutal stab of pain smashing against my skull.

Letting me go i spat blood onto the driveways dirt.

Pain rippled through me like never before, i couldn't move.

Autumn ran out desperately with back up.

Before i could sigh with relief, I clutched my eyes in unspeakable pain as Wyatt kicked the dirt roads dust into my face for his last attempt at assault before he was pulled away from me.

"Ryder!" she gasped as she failed to lift me from the ground.

With my eyes stinging and closed, it didn't take long before exhaustion took over and I sunk into black.

****

"Hey." Autumn's soft voice chimed in my ears.

I blinked my eyes opening getting used to my surroundings.

I was on her bed lying down, i looked down at my already treated wounds.

She was sitting on the side of the bed looking over me with a cold wet cloth in her hand, every now and then i'd feel the refreshing cloth dab my forehead and around my eye.

"Hey?" i frowned, wincing at the stabbing pain coming from my head and stomach as i moved slightly.

"You ok?" She asked instinctively as she caught sight of my not so hidden grimace.

"I'll be fine." my voice was hard and emotionless.

"Im so sorry." she whispered as a tear slid down her cheek.

I frowned confused.

"For what?"

"For this." She nodded her head to me, her voice barely a whisper.

"This wasn't your fault." i tried to assure her.

She shook her head, "i wanted to get you back for what you did, but... not like this!" she sobbed

I couldn't care less at her confession, "You couldn't have known Wyatt would do this."

"Please forgive me." She begged me dabbing my forehead once again.

I nodded my head slightly.

She leaned down and pecked my lips, i craved more, but in the state I'm in, i don't think i could even move my little finger.

"Get some rest." she whispered to me.

"I love you." i assured her, hoping she'd believe me.

There was slight hesitation before she replied with "love you too."

The words didn't seem to agree with her eyes that refused to look at me.

I closed my eyes feeling the exhaustion take back over, absorbing me into a deep sleep.

She has to believe me.
